So, theres no hope of this thing ever working for me? Tried two different builds and it gets stuck on the switch boot logo splash.

What do you mean with "stuck" on splash screen. Did it hung up or did you receive something like a "crash screen"?

Usually not enough memory. Try disabling any other custom sysmodules, or wait for an upcoming atmosphere release which will make more memory available. Jakibaki has also talked about optimising this module to use less memory, but it didn't sound like something he was looking forward to.

Feeling that this module is on the verge of abandoned, it is now crashing horizon on 9.10 and atmosphere 10.0 on boot. Is there any other sys module that can perform the ftp function other than the standalone app?

This was working fine on Atmosphere 0.10.0, but when I upgraded to 0.10.1 it gets stuck on the Switch logo during boot. If I remove this module, then it boots fine. This needs updated for 0.10.1 it would appear unless I'm doing something wrong.

Edit: So it works if I boot using fusee-primary, but not Hekate. Perhaps Hekate needs updated to support Atmosphere 0.10.1

Hekate is also updated, go trying 5.1.1

That seem to do the trick, thanks! I do notice the speed when using the sys module is only 1.43 MBps, where when using a standalone homebrew version I get around 7 MBps. Tested on a wired connection. I'm guessing this is because of a memory limitation of the sys module compared to homebrew running in non-applet mode. However, it seems the memory limitation was greatly increased recently. Hekate latest releases notes state:

"Added Atmosphère's system memory pool increase kernel patches
Now sysmodules have way more available ram"

and Atmosphere 10.0 release notes stated:

"
Thanks to the rewrite, Atmosphere now uses significantly less memory.
  • Roughly 10 additional megabytes are now available for custom system modules to use.
  • This means you can potentially run more custom system modules simultaneously.
    • If system modules are incompatible, please ask their authors to reduce their memory footprints."

Wondering if someone released a version that used near 10 MB of RAM, if it would change the speeds at all or not.

Try it.
My build has nerfed leds (one cycle instead of infinite), if you want old behavior with added timeout, build it.
This is great, with cathery's one I was running out of system resources (because many active modules) which broke my file managers (N-Xplorer, NX-Shell [atmosphere crash when creating folders/rename/move/copy]), many thanks buddy :)

Yes.
You can even access a docked switch in a sleep mode with Ethernet connection.
Can you help?

I copied the files into my SD as instructed. But it only works when I run a FTPD.nro i found and not any other time.
Any guides any where which are abit more ELI5 and noob-friendly? thank you!
