60 FPS for Spyro was easy to enable, but without tweaking graphics framerate dips heavily outside of tunnels.
is there a mod that just ensures 30fps in handheld? cause it feels like the game is always just a camera turn away from dropping a dozen frames...

You can always OC.
i mean, I would and i do, but you're not allowed to overclock the gpu enough without being stuck to the official charger, which to me, defeats the whole purpose of being portable.
the gpu seems to be stuck at almost constant 95% at 460mhz, which causes the framedrops when something happens.

You dont mind a lower res?

Oh god, I'm so sorry, I didn't even realize this was a crash team racing thread, i googled my way here looking for a spyro mod.
But thank you for this one too, I hadn't gotten around to CTR yet, but now I'm gonna give it a whirl later.

Try this for Spyro.

Thanks, it definitely feels like some things look lower res now, but it's still stuttering when more than two enemies appear on screen and during camera swings. I guess that port is just beyond saving

Just use Status Monitor and check what is going on. If this is not GPU bottleneck, then lowering res won't help.

It seems like gpu is less taxed when I stand still now, but in motion, its went back to 95% and dropping frames when something happens, like enemies on screen or fast camera turns.
I couldn't say if it's actually dropping fewer frames now, but the stutter of dropped frames is still there.

It can't be the CPU, that had loads of air on all cores, with and without the mod, ram usage was somewhere around 2500mb i think

Kek, this is dynamically changing or stays within the same value?

from what i can tell it stays mostly constant when a level is loaded and only goes up or down significantly when changing stages.
it's about 2500 in the swampy hubworld of spyro 1 and 2788 in the treetop stage with the racing tracks, for example

so I've had a bit more time to actually compare mod and no mod a bit and it seems I was just seeing things when I said that.
I didn't realize that the models already looked a bit fuzzy in handheld when you looked closely, so I thought it came from the patch.

comparing that CTR patch to no patch, it was very clear to see the difference, but for spyro its either very very hard to notice, or it's not working as intended.
no idea if there's any more to to about it, but thanks for taking a crack at it in either case :)

do you have any mod for increase the quality to 1080p in crash team racing nitro from switch? enven if was playable in 30 fps

Do you have some mod to increase the resolution of crash team racing to 1080p? Even if was playable only in 30 fps

Hello people,
I saw that you commented that it is possible to overclock with SXOS. Could someone explain to me how? I have a Mariko Switch with SX-Core.

Thanks!!
