Hi! :)

I recently had a problem with my NEW Nintendo 2DS XL (LL).
When I press the on / off button, the power LED goes on and then goes out again after about a second.
Boot9strap with Luma3DS and the system version 11.13.0-45E is installed on my 2DS.
My CFW comes from here: https://3ds.hacks.guide/.
I've already tried something from here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/n3ds-wont-boot-after-boot9strap-installation.475831/.
But nothing has brought about that.
It is also strange when I start the recovery mode, there is no picture forever and the empty area on the left edge of the screen also gets very hot (seems to be the WI-FI antenna).
My question now is: Can you do something or is the then electronic waste?

Thanks in advance. :yay3ds:

PS: Sorry for my english. I'm from Germany. If you don't understand it, you have to sue Google.

Setup Luma 3DS to CTRNAND via GodMode9

Make sure your SD card is formatted to FAT32 or the console can't read it. Search for @TurdPooCharger's posts as he often tells people the right way to format their SD card, if you find one of his posts like that follow the instructions.

When I installed the CFW, I did it right after setup. But that was a year ago.
Try putting GodMode9 as boot.firm on the root of your SD card. If your console does not start into GodMode9 as soon as you turn it on, there's something wrong with your SD card. If it was working before, maybe it has since become corrupted. Get a new one and test it with H2testw by following https://3ds.guide/h2testw-(windows) (or follow the links in there for Mac or Linux if you use those). If there are no errors, format it again properly and try GodMode9 again as boot.firm. If it lets you start up GodMode9 then replace that with the latest Luma boot.firm and you should be good to go.

I have formatted it like this: 1.Call Windows 10 CMD. 2. format G :. 3. Started a Linux Live because it was formatted as EXFAT.

Follow these instructions

  • Copy everything off the SD card to a computer.

  • Full Write + Verify the empty card in H2testw. Do not skip.

  • If the card passes, delete the *.h2w test files.
    • A reported error means the hardware failed card needs to be replace. Go back to step 1.

  • Copy everything back to the SD card (or its replacement).
The quadruple format link is how to make sure it is really formatted properly, the others are to make sure the SD card isn't dying or corrupted.

My PC is not ready right now because my brother is playing Fortnite there. I will then give you a feedback if it worked (Provided: I don't forget it.). ;)

I forgot the test ... ‍

Unfortunately, this can take another 2 hours.

You try what Quantumcat suggested, quadruple format? How are you formatting your card? what tool are you using?

I previously deleted the partition.

Formatting can now take 1-2 hours ...
