You do understand that Atmosphere also allows for the same to happen, Should they go after them too?

I think people are just sour that 1 of their main sources for Warez has been shut down. Good riddance i say go out & buy your games.
We can't buy games cause we're all skint.

Darn, I used to use their site for patches. I thought they maybe changing DNS and server, and that was the reason for being offline.

Wow how ridiculous. On what basis could they possibly have the legal reasoning to do that? What law is it to post links. Not to mention it was just a way for people to post their legal game backups and have them verified by the public or whatever . Nintendo is really shooting them selves in the for by taking down supposed rom sites.

Are you for real or a troll? I mean it is fine to no like Nintendo defending their rights in court, but don't pretend it's ridiculous to do so, or unlawful, or that they are shooting themselves in the foot by doing it. Wrong, wrong and very wrong.

I don't have the pie charts handy but I can tell you right now that Nintendo can only lose doing this. The offset of bandwidth used by other means opposed to Nintendo's servers has saved them more money then it they were to download from the eshop. Nintendo knows this full well which is why you see their ads on the download sites. The ability to re download a game repeatedly from their server is killing Nintendo.

If they get rid of all the rom sites watch the entire infrastructure crumble.

OMG! You are a troll!

(Hey, I'm all for piracy. I just hate hypocrites who won't own it. I also hate clowns like Dick the Dud who act like a five year old when confronted with the truth.)

heres the best rom site ever!! just Google turbosnail....it'll come up.I'm not posting the link here.I know how to put the games together like he does like making newer games work on older fw or making xci with all updates.but don't like uploading! I'm seriously afraid of the big N!!!!!!!I even got a nsp and xci of AM2R IN WIDESCREEN!!! WORKING W/ SAVES BUT I DON'T WANT A TARGET ON MY BACK.ONLY FOR PERSONAL USE.I GREW UP ON NINTENDO.I dumped how much money into there consoles and games since the nes days.I was lucky because I had the privilege of owning super mario in October 85 when it was just a test system.I got it as a early xmas present from the walt Whitman fleemarket in long Island.I used to buy Japanese games of games because they used to get them over there 1st.now everyone gets the releases at the same time.I remember when I got mario 3 jap in late 87 no one believed me until I took them to my house lol those were the days....R.I.P. Greedy more like protecting their property which they are 1000% allowed and justified to do. Of course you're not going to like it, but you shouldd be capable of admitting Nintendo is right here and the pirates are wrong because they are. If you spent years on a project and made your living off it and someone distributed it without your permission for free would you love it? Hell no. The amount of money Nintendo has is moot. If piracy was easy enough that everyone did it even companies like Nintendo and Sony would start losing money and then no more consoles so they are smart to try to make it as difficult as possible even if they can't eliminate it. No company puts out a product to lose money nor should they.

Your attitude and many others attitude are the equal of robbing a bank and then being mad that the bank wants their money back or wants to at least stop or slow down the robberies. They would be justified in wanting to do so.

The problem is that on every forum today links-urls-romsite names ect.... is given, while you can do that via pm so nintendo cant read it,so i blame those people.
It seems people don't wont to be smarter, the available sites now, post there names here and it will be game over in a couple of months, and then cry as babies.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contributory_copyright_infringement

Might as well ask here, is it against the rules to post a translation patch that has copied voice and text from the English version? Like just files copied from the English game to be patched on to the Japanese one. It doesn't include the full game of course, just the stuff that needs to be patched.

Those files are still covered by copyright, so you would need the user to provide both copies of the game and have your patch fetch them rather than include them.

I'm surprised Nintendo haven't, asking the question here seems pointless as you're asking those with a vested interest.

Atmosphere doesn’t actually allow piracy it’s up to the end user to locate the sign patches

I'm not convinced that is the reason they haven't been sued. Although I'm surprised about how Nintendo have been holding back.

So you think their defense should be they helped people pirate more than just Nintendo games but it's only Nintendo that complained? That seems flawed somehow.
