So I'm just wondering, which of these is "better" in terms to not being connected to Nintys server?

I'm currently using 90DNS, which works fine except that I can't remove the game update nag Everytime I start a game... I have used both Tinfoil and Goldleaf to reset game factory version, but it still pops-up...

Anyway I don't know exactly how 90DNS or incognito works, but let say that if 90DNS servers goes down, will my unit might download the updates?

And if I use incognito would I still be able to use internet on Homebrew apps, such as JITS?
I really hope that incognito removes the game update nagging...

Your switch has a record of all game versions released prior to the release of the firmware you're currently on. So no matter what you use between the two, the nag won't go.

Both don't remove the nagging, and it is recommended that you use both if you don't want to get banned.
And yes, you can use internet on homebrew apps with incognito, just not Nintendo's servers. Just don't lose your prodinfo backup. And I recommend you use this
https://github.com/borntohonk/Incognito_RCM/releases
to enable incognito, since the NRO requires you to disable prodinfo protection.
Lastly, Why don't you just download the update?

Ahhh i see, is there a way to remove the nagging? :/
Honestly, the only reason i don't want to update is because i want to be able to use Edizon on games.. I've heard that cheats doesn't work on the latest updates for some reason.

AND another reason (the biggest one) is to save some storage space...

Dont get me wrong i really like 90DNS but i'm afraid that the server will one day go down and that someone accidentally update the games or even the whole firmware when there is a newer release. That is why i want to use Incognito.
And i honestly dont care if i get banned, i have no intention to play games online. If i can use homebrew apps online such as JITS etc im happy :)

There is another Incognito RCM? I was just going to use this one;

What I sent is a fork with 9.1.0 Support. If the 90DNS servers go down incognito can save you. And just so you know, you can delete updates after you install them, So if a cheat doesn't work you can just remove the update. and if the game had 2 updates, I suggest you dump the update with something like Goldleaf or Tinfoil, since removing the update would give you back the stock version, not the previous update.

Ahh thank you for that! I downloaded the Incognito from the link you sent and everything worked great! :D
I had no idea about that! Well then in that case i can try to update them all :)

By the way, let say that there is a new Firmware version. Is it possible to update the firmware using Choidujournx after we used Incognito?
Or should we always restore the Prodinfo.bin file first before update the firmware? :)

I'm using EmuMMC with AutoRCM enabled.

90DNS is best to use if you're hacking a Switch that you've been using for weeks/months. If you do it well, your Switch will never communicate with Nintendo, so it's the best way to avoid ban. But for people hacking a Switch that has never been used and starting it from scratch, I believe it's safe to use Incognito (RCM) even before the first configuration.
I've been using Incognito for a year and I tried to use my Switch from a clean NandBackup, everything worked well and I successfully connected it to Nintendo.

Incognito is a must in my opinion. Sometimes there is DNS hijacks by some ISPs, which means 90DNS might not work under some networks. I got banned because of this.

If 90DNS goes down the system would outright refuse to connect to the internet until you edit your setting to have a valid DNS. So there’s nothing to worry about there :P

Pros of 90DNS:
  1. Easy to set up
  2. No risk of losing prodinfo and effectively banning yourself
Pros of Incognito:
  1. Only has to be installed once (i.e. It doesn't have to be set up for each Wi-Fi connection)
  2. Doesn't interfere with HBG/JITS download speeds
  3. Difficult to be removed accidentally
  4. You don't have to worry about server-side issues (e.g. 90DNS going down or unblocking connections)
I'm a control freak, so I like Incognito.

Just got my defective switch console replaced by Nintendo with a brand new one. I was kinda sad when checked the back of the console just to realize that it's not the new v. 2.0 Mariko one with the improved screen and battery.
The sadness didn't last long tho, since the SN of the console was on the non-patched list and the console accepted the payload when tested.

Anyway, I've installed Atmosphere and bought a brand new 512GB microSD to celebrate.
I created the emunand and enabled 90DNS, then used the Incognito RCM only for the emunand partition (before backing up my sysnand and emunand prodinfo files) https://github.com/jimzrt/Incognito_RCM/releases

My question is:
1. Since I have a clean sysnand... Do I really have to delete (invalidate) my sysnand prodinfo, or just stick with the deleted emunand prodinfo.

I don't have purchased games at the moment, so I don't need to use sysnand (official FW) any time soon.
2. Is there any problem if I leave my microSD (that contains CFW and games) card inside the switch when booting the Nintendo official FW ? I'm using flight mode with the OFW.

If your sysNAND is clean, and you plan on keeping it that way, then you do not need to use Incognito with it. If you were to use Incognito with your clean sysNAND, you also wouldn't be able to play online with it.

No. If the sysNAND itself is clean, it probably doesn't matter what's on the SD card.

Out of curiosity, why do you even have a clean sysNAND if you're just going to keep it offline forever?

Thank you for your advice. I'm keeping my sysNAND clean just in case Nintendo releases an online game that I have to play and of course, buy. For example, if they decide to release a new Fire Emblem game with online multiplayer and proper open world with towns to explore etc. (like it will ever happen) then I will buy the game cartridge and use my SysNAND to play it online.
With a fast 512GB microSD card, I don't care about losing 32GB for using emuNAND.

I have another question. Can I install anything on the emuNAND partition or I'm risking the files to get corrupted ? I never tried and I don't know if it's fine installing on it. I've only used the free microSD space since I got my new switch and new microSD.

Yes, you can install games to the emuNAND partition, but I personally wouldn't do so unless I were desperate for space.

Hello everyone, so Im new here/new at modding scene, Im using 90dns and incognito throu exosphere.ini, no problems so far "haven't touched my sysnand yet to check if im banned" but my question is: even thou Im using both, does sysnand still saves logs/saves/ect that could potentially get sent to ninty thus getting my switch banned in the future? If so, what options may be available to stop this?

If I understand correctly, you're not using emuNAND. You're running a sysNAND CFW, right? In that situation, your best option, if you want to connect to Nintendo's servers, is to restore your NAND dump that you should have made before you started hacking. That's assuming that you didn't try to connect to Nintendo's servers after creating that backup.

I probably explained myself bad, Im sorry :(

No, Im currently using emummc "at first when I started, I did put up atmos on sysnand but never went online with it, most I did was lan play, later on I did a haku33 on my switch then started using emummc, also, after haku33 and resseting my switch, I went to the eshop on ofw and it accessed it no problem" so my question is, although I'm using emummc/90dns/incognito through exosphere.ini, does the internal memory hold any type of logs that could be sent to ninty whenever I decide to use sysnand? And if so, what're the options available to block/clear/nuke these logs?

Well, that would be what haku33 should have done... get rid of any and all logs or traces. You went online successfully, so maybe it worked, maybe it didn't and you're flagged for the next ban wave (worst case scenario). Only time will tell. A nand restore would have been better, but as you already went online, too late now. Just cross your fingers and hope haku33 worked 100%.
