Is there any Homebrew software that has the ability to turn off the switch (without the need to use the physical power button)? Or any other app that has such an feature ?( For example hekate has that but it's not a Homebrew app I guess)

I don't use Auto RCM and never keep my switch on sleep mode as I rarely play , so I always turn it off, I figured a Homebrew app that can turn off the switch can be useful as it will avoid any damage to the physical button.

Damage to the physical button? What, are you fingers made of metal or something? Nothing will happen in like a thousand years if you JUST keep using the power button as usual with your bare hands. Especially if you play rarely and don't even use sleep...

Anyway... Nothing really comes to my mind, but i'm pretty sure there definitely is a homebrew that let's you shut down the device without using the physical button. But you surely can use payload launcher (or reboot to payload) from hb-menu to get into hekate and turn off you switch from there...

Maybe not exactly what you're looking for, but if you download atmosphere, within the switch folder there is a NRO called "reboot_to_payload". If you replace the /atmosphere/reboot_payload.bin file with the hekate payload and rename it to reboot_payload.bin, once you boot the NRO you will reboot into hekate and you will then can power off your Switch using the touchscreen, assuming you have Nyx installed.

Lol, so what? I was just tying to help OP and and answer the question. When I read OP's post and wrote my reply, your reply did not show up yet. I did see it after I posted mine, but your post wasn't as detailed as mine, so I don't see the issue here. But for real, now you've edited your post and are claiming I copied yours? Don't make me laugh. :rofl2:

Hi, I can make a quick app for you that you can use. You will have to launch the app via title override for it to work however (holding R when lauching a game).

Would that be okay?
