Is there any guides on creating cheats for pokemon? I feel that would be useful to people looking to learn and help out with discovery of codes.

Thanks for the updated codes everyone. Seems to be working fine this far. Looking forward to further cheats being put up for testing

I think the same, some help like this would help me introduce myself into code research.

V1.0
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1140dLPdxrWfTyLA5Bfete3VSxzZ8bsSHzuPR9xG5p38/edit#

V.1.1
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SOVqRv0CvpgTmc85kwXSIV3Wtq_lMvWuJsN_bllUgG8/edit

(the v.1.1 might be edited--I think there were more than "six" pages.)

https://gbatemp.net/threads/pokemon-sword-and-shield-cheats-hacks-pkhex.551986/page-101#post-8862723

How to create Sw/Sh cheats, including (I believe encounter tables for dexmon (post #2017, expandong the quote from @ Falo)....there might be a dexmon save, as well, but....merph.)

It'll make you smarter--watch it.

maybe a silly question but since the update are the Pokeball cheat codes the same?

I think luci said Master ball works (v.1-v.1.1), but check post #24.

Thanks for the relevant video! I'm curious how you would find values that are non-number based like forcing a shiny to appear. Do you have to exploit the amount of times you encountered the Pokemon to find the shiny percent value?

Edit: Also is there any key difference between using the Edizon editor or the Noexs Editor?

That thing people talk about with the IDs matching, that's related to shiny/ultra shiny...TrainerID/SecretID. I believe there's a code that can change your ID if you didn't want to force the mon to match yours.

You could, but it would be superfluous if you can change IDs/force shiny.

So they are forcing the pokemon id to change to a value that correlates with a shiny? Does that mean that all shiny Goomys or other pokemon have the exact same ids?

Sorry if these are rookie questions btw, I'm just so engage with the amount of possibilities you could do with these sorts of editing shenanigans.

I'm actually unsure of how Gen8 does it--I beat the game, but my save is fucked up, so using PKHex (to transfer my mon) is on my to-do list (so I can see all the IDs, yada-yada).

I never played Let's Go (didn't have a joy-con on me and deleted the game), so I'm shinyunsure of differences between 3DS and Switch....maybe there are none, but it isn't something I've looked too deeply into. Google knows.
Maybe this https://www.gamepur.com/guide/44895-how-get-square-shiny-pokemon-sword-shield.html
can help you?

We have a barrage of new codes (I have re-tested the Sword versions of various just to ensure the new codes are legit.)

Newly added:
  • Encounter Gender Modifiers
  • Encounter Ability Modifiers
I am cleaning up the opening topic as I go. There's a lot so it's slow going!

What about like the den beam color or the Pokemon that appears inside. Are there certain places in the code that specific Den ID and its beam color?

The part of the code that does the Shiny check provides a TRUE/FALSE. If TRUE, it calculates a valid PID with a ShinyID that matches the ShinyID matches the Trainer's ID. The way it does it for Raid Pokemon is trippy.

Pre-Expansions: There are 99 Dens in the game (excluding the Watchtower Lair.) There are 93 internal Nests plus an extra Nest which is a placeholder (the content of which is based upon the latest Wild Area News your game has received. Every single Den has associated with it's Red and Purple beam one of those 93 Nests. The Nests serve as an encounter table for the respective beam at the respective Den.

Interesting, so how do people manage to locate where the true false value is stored? Do they locate it in game files first and then implement it into memory or do they somehow read the memory as it generates the encounter?

Unedited--the game has specific mon in specific areas, but when you edit, you can change when where and how.

Do you have a hacked Switch that can use Edizon?

Yes, this is why we have codes for JUST that in the opening post if for some reason you didn't jump back to page 1 of the thread!

yeah i do, I was curious because someone could essentially make a script that just forces raids or encounters to switch to one pokemon

Yes, it creates illegal Pokemon for the legal checks but yes it can be done.

They do, but the pokewomans get whatever would have been in the location....I believe.

Totally watch the whole video.

Bastards! This is the wrong video--before, Bulbasaur was an edited encounter, but the reason I said to watch the whole video is because when you edit mon into other places, they get the "data" of the mon they replaced.

Sorry should have clarified, I am more looking at the process of it all. Lets say that pokemon sword just came out, how would someone locate that true false value and where it is stored.

NATURES!!

Nature codes are now here!

You should use all the existing codes to get a feel for where the data for various elements is stored in correlation to other values (ie. where in memory IVs are determined vs Abilities) as a start point... then go from there.

(Either which way, this thread is NOT for guidance on learning to code hunt. The focus of this thread is exclusively for sharing codes for v1.1.0 of the games. Furthermore, most people here are not code hunters!)

It's understandable that you want the thread to stay on topic, but you have no idea what people are doing--maybe they don't want to help you in this thread and they're making their own codes.

Honestly, I'm about to make my own thread where people can ask questions--maybe people would be willing to help look for codes, but maybe you keep turning them off from trying.

We (collectively) lost a tester and had two highly respected members weigh in and it isn't looking good for the future.
