you might be asked to format the memory card if you were to do that. certain folders need to be on ux0 to function correctly. though, you can delete homebrew stuff like the repatch folder (if you don't need it). the appmeta, for example, is decrypted on ur0, but is encrypted in ux0 with pfs, so that stuff is divided already. also, internal memory is only like 1-1.5GBs of space, so there's not much room for anything else.

This right here is where im confused. because installing Enso said you could delete those apps so do i need them to begin with? this sounds like its geared towards those that dont have enso

it sounds like it's just for uma rather than ux0.
like After enso it said you could delete some apps including H-encore so those folders arnt on the internal or Memory card only Vita shell remains on the Memory card and yea that can pose a problem if both storage devices break so how can i install Vitashell on the internal storage? can i just copy those folders off the Memory card into the internal storage?

I wouldn't delete those files in case you have to reinstall h-encore. there's not much room in internal memory. that's why people use mass storage (uma0) instead, but personally, I think it's not worth it considering the price of those official memory cards juxtaposed with the price of a normal micro sd card. it's no contest which is better. plus, a lot of people have experienced problems with official cards, which can be extremely difficult to diagnose.

Hello there.
I have a 10XX Vita (Fat) with 3G support (useless for me). When I got it, it had 3.60 OFW (don't know if that's the factory version), which I hacked using henkaku.xyz site and the browser method, used it that way for some time. Up until Ensö for 3.65 OFW became the most current hack. So I followed the instructions from TheOfficialFloW/update365, to update to 3.65 OFW but adding support to Ensö in the process.
I'm willing to use Modoru to downgrade to 3.60 (better plugin compatibility) and apply Ensö again.
Can I do it directly, or do I have to follow some specific steps derived from the process used to update it to 3.65 with Ensö?

iirc, you have to uninstall ensou, then install ofw first or the checksum will be off. I don't think it matters much, because it will still install. the warning is just a precaution in case something has been modded.

Thanks for your answer.

I've been searching for more information regarding this. Just a moment ago, found a tweet from TheFlow, and he answered to another Vita owner willing to do the same downgrade, that he/she don't need to uninstall Ensö to downgrade to 3.60.

Now I'm even more confused @_@.

I've found some advice to update Ensö to 1.1 version which corrects a bug that can cause a brick, but how should I update it? (If Ensö 1.0 can cause a brick when uninstalling it?)
Here:
There is no point doing that: the MBR modification is exactly the same between 1.0 and 1.1. There is just a protection on uninstall case with 1.1 to avoid a potential brick. This brick was triggered on 1.0 when you force a FW reinstallation (which removes Enso MBR modification) and you use the Enso application to uninstall Enso. So basicly, uninstalling Enso using the application 1.0 is a BAD IDEA![/QUOTE]"]

In any case, which would be the steps to follow to downgrade my Ensö enabled 3.65 Vita to 3.60? (Considering that Ensö got "installed" through the update365 method)? Thanks in advance.

If you still have Enso installed on your 3.65, you should probably first remove every plugin you have then uninstall it using this version of Enso:
https://github.com/TheOfficialFloW/enso/releases/tag/v1.1
(the initial one from this page "https://github.com/henkaku/enso" is not meant for 3.65)

Then downgrade with Moduro to 3.60 by using H-encore as entrypoint (because you won't have Enso anymore).
And finally, once you are on 3.60, re-install Enso.

However, as I didn't test that myself, I am not 100% sure it's the right procedure. So I will tell you the classic disclaimer: do it at your own risk! :)
Maybe you should ask some confirmation from more experimented people before doing anything.

iTLS-Enso allows to browse some webpages in TLS 1.2 (for example, you need it if you wish to directly download a ".vpk" from Github on your PS Vita, using "download_enabler" plugin of course).
iTLS-Enso is just a modification of "vs0" partition so it will be wiped by firmware downgrade or re-installation.

It's a plugin which allow other plugins to access any file location (by default, a userland plugin will be limited to the application context and it could not access to any directory from ux0 or ur0; this plugin allows it).

https://github.com/xyzz/gamecard-microsd so whats the diff between this and storage manager plugin? is one better then the other?
Gamesd type make the sd2vita into ux0, sony mmc into uma0, you have no control at all, either enable or disable, for those who want to have absolute no trouble or editing.
Storage Manager type make the drive change by what you CONFIG (by edit txt invitashell or autoplugin) it to, so sd2vita as uma0, hide sony mmc card, sd2vita as ux0, all you want. Problem like crash or boot loop may arise from change config blindly.
YAMT type make the whole thing into your system control (with menu and touch screen choice), with the fastest speed boot, so far the best choice. Do all thing Storage Manager does. No text edit config so less problem.

Obviously the Vita scene seems to have gone a bit quiet on here so hoping my post gets seen

Quite a simple one to start with

I've just picked up an original phat OLED on 3.73

There are a ton of guides, videos, posts etc... out there in the wild, is this one https://vita.hacks.guide/ the best guide to follow from start to finish ?

I wanting to install HB, CFW, downgrade my 3.73 to 3.60 because from what I've read 3.60 is the best to have if you want perm CFW (cold boot ?)

TIA

check in system settings. to reinstall ensou, use the installer, then install ofw, and finally install ensou again.

Thx for your help.
I am on 3.60 but wasnt able to install a clean 3.60 again. So i decided to delete some plugins and restore/reset the config txt.
Now, everything works fine.
I realized that reset the config file with h-encore fixed my issues. I think vita shell was/is buggy (refresh Data reasons).

Hello I'm thinking about downgrading the firmware on my ps vita from 3.68 to 3.60 with modoru but I have one doubt. What will happen to the contents of my memory card? Will I have to backup my saves and install all the games again?
