So let me get this straight.....It's ok to break Nintendo's TOA and licensing (in most of the world), but if it's an open source tool it's not? As I said borrowing without giving credit is more of what happened and even if they gave credit now it's too late. People would still shit on them. Just getting old to keep hearing the same non-sense about borrowed code when talking about software that really has only one purpose, no matter what people what to admit publicly, and that's to pirate games on both CFW. ie. "stealing" from Nintendo and other Devs. People can sit on their high horses behind their keyboards all day, that's the truth.
Well, TOA/EULA applies only between you and ninty. So once you break it, ninty can cut you off from their services and such. But nothing legal applies (unless you did something illegal). And if you got a license, you should be able to do anything with it (at least that applies here).
The problem is breaking GPLv3, which is illegal. And I wouldn't call it "borrowing". Because they are taking the code and reselling it as their product with a few extra features. That's not really borrowing, is it?

Yeah they're the criminals, you wanting a free tool to steal games are a good guy.
> Implying I do pirate games

I mostly use my switch only for RetroArch usage (and yes, I own every game I play on it, I'm a collectionist myself), but nice try :)

Also if only their only crime were being pirates...

Yeaaa I suppose. But imo there are haters on both sides. And imo people that are "TX Supporters" seem to see all opinions as personal attacks. Someone saying "where tf is the proof from this random ass info from a random reseller?" Is somehow hate.
Most people that reply to me just get the "stfu I really dont care if you think im a "Atmoshill" I have a TX license fuck off" reply.

You only have a SX license because you bought it early in the scene when atmosphere was not viable yet :rofl2:

;) Exactly! But I can use it as an excuse as to why people should stop thinking im personally attacking their CFW choices lmao
I can't use it even if I wanted to, because of their stupid license. Upgraded my NAND. Now my SX license is totally useless. What they advised: Buy a new one or reinstall old NAND, Yea, no thanks.

But it was available (unofficially) since hekate allowed to boot onto HOS, like 3 months earlier the Xecuter.
You seem to have missed the word "viable", and you also seem to be conflating atmosphere and hekate.
Ofc I don't, hekate is a bootloader like ams's fusee, but in steroids where most of ams's anatomy is the set of sysmods, custom secmon, etc. Also what do you mean with "viable"? Hekate + ams allowed both homebrew and game mods before sxos even existed

This is amazing TX!

Also, people saying they can't use the mod chip - Can't you chainload other payloads from SX Os' bootloader?
