If you need to buy an authentic replacement circle pad part with actual rubber cover and not those fake plastic imitations, buy them from eBay seller wiigotem. This might not apply for those outside of the continental 48 United States and Canada.
My rubber pad is completly fine, it just came off all of a sudden.

just a drop. Use Crazy Glue and put the drop on the circle pad itself. Line it up so that the circle pad is in the center :) that should work my friend!
Any chance of the 3DS malfunctioning/breaking if glue gets in?

If you're playing hard enough to peel off the rubber cover, your circle pad's stick is probably due to breaking soon.

Glue it upside down.

Ok, thanks for your help, everyone. I'll try to glue it tomorrow, if not I'll just play it without it.

Use super glue or rubber cement that comes with a small brush. Open the 3DS to the flat position, put the 3DS upside down with the circle pad shaft exposed and pointed downwards, place a textbook to weight it down to a table, brush the glue on the inner surface of the rubber cap, use your thumb to push the rubber upwards onto the plastic seat, and squeeze together with thumb and index fingers for several minutes. Leave the 3DS upside until the glue fully cures. If the glue drips, at least it will not glue the circle pad stuck.

It actually happened to me 2 years ago. Despite some drift from time to time, I've come to live with it and didn't bother about it after a month or so. I removed the whole rubber when it started coming off.

It's nice to see there are a few replacement parts available now, but it's still surprisingly low. What's so difficult in producing rubber replacements? Back then you would have to buy the Circle Pad Pro to salvage just the rubber for your 3DS.

A baby ripped mine off, it was sad. I sold the 3DS though, and now I have a N3DS, so there's that. :P

I have super glued 2 of mine, the blacks circle pads size seems very little compared to my blues. i dont know if my super glue melted it. i just put a drop. will update if it gets smaller. either way I'll soon buy 3 new circle pads for 15€, and maybe a new analog stick for 10€

Before gluing, never forget to properly cleanup surfaces for best adherence.
First, remove previous glue residue, then use a wet cloth to remove remaining non visible dirt and then clean with IPA. Do this with both surfaces. Good preparation will ensure parts are remaining stuck together!
