If you haven't played the game, then you won't. Neither have I but, upon further inspection, you can see in that panel (last one obv) there are a few trainers that are less opaque. I'm guessing in Pokemon Masters you choose your team of Pokemon "Masters", or trainers. So basically they caught a trainer, then released the game as a cover.

Therefore, you can train humans to improve their skills as they are pocket humanoid monsters.

Neat idea but it's canon it doesn't work that way. In the very first season Ash accidentally threw a pokeball at someone's head and it did nothing but a bonk iirc.

Of course it is not canon. On the other hand, from the technology viewpoint of the pokémon universe, catching a humanoid monster or a human should make no difference.

Pokémon Masters, the new mobile game, is about recruiting, or rather “catching” other trainers, rather than catching Pokémon to battle with.

I dunno mate, Pokemon seem to be made of something else, very different. But that I guess would be a Game Theory debate.
