I tried to install some gamecube games to my hdd but USB Loader gx freezes at random percentage. I tried two different games and both have the same issue. Also I tried one game twice and it freezes at different percentage. When it froze, I need to hard shut down my Wii. Any ideas what the issue could be?

Hello.:)

First please check of your IOS58 Version.
Please press on the HOMEBREW CHANNEL the "HOME" Button on your Wii Motion Controller and read on the right upper corner.
It should say 1.1.2 ISO58 v24.32.

Then please your NINTENDONT Version - latest v5.486
Next please check of the proper Format of your Games.
The recommended format is a CLEAN ISO dump. It has the best compatibility and faster reading speed.
Do not compress or extract your games, don't use DiscEx, don't use GCReEx, don't use DMToolbox.

Did you have your Games on USB or SD Card now ?

The Game ISO´s has placed to be like that for Example:

SD or USB:/games/Zelda Wind Waker [GZLP01]/game.iso
SD or USB:/games/Tales of Symphonia [GQSEAF]/game.iso
SD or USB:/games/Tales of Symphonia [GQSEAF]/disc2.iso

Thank you.:)

@alexander1970 It's 1.1.2 IOS58 v24.32
Nintendont is 5.486

Yes games load fine but I have problems when inserting a disc and installing the game.

Oh sorry, this is my fault.Excuse me please.:)

Yes,this happens on USBLoader GX sometimes.
You can use another Solution for Install/Copy your Game.

CLEANRIP
https://wiidatabase.de/downloads/wii-tools/cleanrip/

You can choose where you rip your Game (SD or USB)
After finish the Process you can rename the ISO and put it in a Folder as described above.

Thank you.:)

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

Remember when RiiShop was a thing?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
