Hacking Found my old R4, need help with software

Hello everyone!

Found my old R4 card yesterday, and spent most of the night and this morning trying to get it to work again. I can remember that this one does have a timebomb on it, which is fine. but cant find the software to get it to work. I thought it was 1.84b but am only getting the red menu screen when extracted to the root. Ive attached the picture of my R4. I have formatted to fat32 and am using a known working 32gb microSD card. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

You maybe can try the Wood one with the YSMenu:

or you can use the Multi Cart Update from here also with YSMenu:

Then the "Timebomb" should no longer a "barrier".

So i am having trouble loading into the kernel. i may be doing something completely wrong. I am still seeing the red menu no matter what i put on the SD card. Thank you for your help

Do you mean the WHITE Screen with the "Menu ?" Error Message ?

Can you tell us what steps you have done ?

Please check the following:

- Please FIRST test your SD Card of Errors (for Example with the Tool h2testw )
- Format your SD Card with FAT32 please
- Copy then the content from this File on it:

Thank you for your help. I have tested my SD card and all was fine. I formatted to FAT32 once more to make sure it was complete. I downloaded the file you provided and copied it to the root of my SD and am still getting the MENU? error. Thank you again

Then maybe the Multi Cart Update is your hope now.Please format your SD Card again before you proceed.

PRIMARY Kernel :
Extract the files from the DSONEi SDHC YSMenu folder and copy to root of your µSD :

Games folder
TTMenu folder
R4.dat
TTMenu.dat

DUAL BOOTING :
Download the latest Kernel from your carts website and extract to root of your µSD.
Extract these files from R4i-SDHC YSMenu folder and copy to root of your µSD :

Games folder
TTMenu folder
TTMenu.dat
YSMenu.nds

Boot your carts Kernel, then load YSMenu.nds.
