Nevermind. I think Zippyshare is blocked in the UK. Wasn't until I tested with a VPN that I was able to access it.

Okay, so I made two separate saves. Have a save with only 50CP. Spent 10CP and then saved again with only 40CP. Strength is also at 7 now. When I compare the two save in HxD. Plenty of changes still happen. Not a lot. There were like... 7 differences. One of these has to be the CP. But I don't know what.

Nothing is impossible.
Maybe with the IDA.
But you would have to find the place where that controls.

I have seen at Wonder Boy, nothing suspicious to hack in the savegame file.
