Hacking Question Where To Get Started?

Hi, all! I just got my Nintendo Switch today, and I'm sort of looking to hack it. I'm not very familiar with the Switch's hacking scene, but I was wondering if there was a way to get an emunand running CFW on OFW 8.0.1. I looked around and found stuff regarding it, but it's so much that I honestly don't know where to start, so sorry if this is a silly question.

If it is patched, your switch is unhackable maybe forever because you're on firmware 8. If it's unpatched, you can hack it.

A quick question. Because I'm assuming there's a newer firmware out and I can't link a Nintendo Account & access eShop without updating, should I update from 8.0.1 to 8.1.0 and that guide will still work or should I wait?

Yes it will still work on 8.1 and it's recommended to update if you want to play games that just came out and will soon come out.
