Think I’ll have to leave on 4.1, other way is we need to reproduce Nintendo’s server saying fw is up to date.
That's impossible
if you got supernag for 8.x just sell the console and buy new from a shop. you'll get a <8.0 for sure. then you can wait
otherwise update with cart to a version that removes supernag.
There is no way to remove supernag except updating

I’m fully aware at the moment it’s not possible but been done with other consoles so MAYBE it may be possible one day .
I have 2 rcm and one ipatched, not going to update ipatched unit yet as I have other switches.

It will never be possible

Where can find a guide how to setup emuMMC on the ipatched? Saw Hekate CTCaer 5.0.0 Nyx GUI & emuMMC, is that what we need?

Never say never lol, especially when it comes to hacking!!
We don't know what the future holds, but one should operate as though it will never happen, since there's nothing in the pipeline, and any future hacks are probably years away if they do happen.

Yes, you want to use Hekate 5.0.1.

@noahc3 posted about being almost done with the emuMMC section of the Homebrew Guide to help us IPatched users out. Just have to be a little patient. In the meantime, you can have a look at gRoberts' post on how he managed to set up the emuNAND on his device here - https://gbatemp.net/threads/patched...lack-screen-acting-scary.542773/#post-8704778

Gonna wait for the guide myself, and read both of these in case something gets confusing.

Curious, anyone looking into solving supernag somehow?
Was just doing some reading, booting in to rcm gets rid of it on (4.1 ofw) none ipatch units. I’ve put my ipatched switch away so can’t test.. I know we can get rcm on ipatch units so maybe worth a try, not shore if they ran a payload (if they did then won’t work) If it’s booting in to rcm and then to ofw maybe it will work.

Just going into RCM won’t do anything. You need to push a payload to boot CFW then run gagorder.

Indeed it doesn’t work.
I was more thinking, if anyone looked into how the communication between the server and the console works that triggers supernag. Maybe then it is possible to fake server response to get rid of supernag for ipatched units.. I am still hoping..

Its not a server side flag, it is a flag stored in the console itself.

I know, but the console’s flag is dependent on what the server tells it to do.
Well yeah, how else do you think people are using Deja Vu on firmware versions 4.1 and below without the supernag? Pegascape uses the 90DNS settings to block Nintendo's servers which was the main way of preventing the supernag from triggering again when it was first discovered. Nothing has changed since then except for the fact that patched units have no way to remove the supernag because it requires homebrew which the supernag prevents them from using.

A different question. Could it be that I inserted a game cartridge which requires a higher system version than 4.1 that triggered supernag? I still don't think I have ever connected my console to the internet since last year, but well..

No, the supernag is only triggered when the console is connected to the Internet. You or someone else you know inputted Wi-Fi settings into your console at one point.

Ok thanks.
So can I update my firmware using the game cartridge? I think it is well below 8.0 and wait for future deja vu support? The supernag should be gone if I updated the system pass its knowledge. Is that right?

I do not know if a cartridge update would remove the supernag.

Depends when it connected to internet im told, if connected when 5.x should remove it by updating to 5.x.. If connected when 8.x is available then updating to a lower fw will not remove supper nag....
I am told! not tested but from 4.0 they started removing parts of the deja exploit so unless other entry points, address... What ever patched will need a work round, after 7x it’s killed so no point in updating. You can always update in the future but even with super nag I will just put switch away again until something, if anything happens for supper nag or on any higher fw versions.

Is it possible to launch into cfw emummc without internet connection as cached so to not be dependable?
edit: As being banned block the switch from n-servers can a deliberate ban be used to avoid the super nag?!
