Do NOT update until someone confirms trinity no longer works on that version. I assume it has been patched, what we don't know yet is if it killed Trinity on 3.70 as thefl0w warned us that the way you escaped the sandbox with Trinity may be patched even on 3.70.

Ah nooooooo.... That's really bad timing! I just bought a used vita and it's getting delivered tomorrow :/

There's no way for me to get a psp or minis game installed without updating is there!? :(

You need to hope the following still works come tomorrow: htt ps://vita.hacks .guide/blocking-updates

Make sure you're on 3.70, add the correct DNS settings, keep trying to access the store. Hopefully you'll get through.

If I bought a 3.70 Vita today, would I be able to use DNS to download a PSP game and run Trinity?

You can avoid accessing the Sony PSN store on your PS Vit;, just login to Sony PSN on PC and goto your download list, you can then instruct it to download to your PS Vita.

How would it know which is my vita if I don't log in to my psn account on the vita itself?

Ok so my Vita got delivered today but the DNS update blocker no longer works, it just keeps telling me I have to update. So that's really unlucky timing, one day earlier and it'd be fine. Oh well, fingers crossed something is released for 3.71 soon.

oh shoot, just realised you need to login on your Vita..so my earlier explaination isn't going to help.

have you checked what firmware the Vita you received is currently on? if it's 3.68 or below you don't actually need trinity/PSP game

do not update the firmware...

It's 3.70. After trying numerous times on my WiFi with the DNS block I just kept getting the update message so I tried on my phone's WiFi hotspot with the DNS settings and that didn't bring up the message luckily! I've just finished downloading a psp demo now so I think I'm good to go!!!

Thanks all of you for your help, hopefully I'll have a hacked and downgraded vita pretty soon :)

If you just bought it, no way it's been updated to 3.71. With some luck, it'll even be on a lower FW.

Primary DNS 212.47.229.76

Leave secondary blank

Yes that's the one I used. I think some ISPs block DNS routing so that could be why mine didn't work until I used my mobile phone as a hotspot. Either way my home internet connection didn't work and using my mobile did. If anyone is having the issue then keep trying with other networks and ISPs if you can.

It was on 3.70, I knew that when I bought it but the problem was I needed to log into PSN and download a psp demo for Trinity to work, with the new update being available it wouldn't let me, it just kept telling me to update.
