Which would be the better choice?
Would I be able to use both on the same MicroSD? Or would they require different Cards?
Would SX OS have Issues with AutoRCM? Should just need the Adapter only. Since the Jig would no longer be needed because it will boot automatically to RCM.

Many people here would say SX OS isn't worth the money, since Atmosphere can (for free) do most of the things SX OS can do. Atmosphere also receives updates quicker than SX OS, largely because SX OS uses a lot of Atmosphere's updates for its own updates.

Atmosphere unless you need USB support. You can use both from the same SD. There are no problems with AutoRCM if you use AMS. With SX OS, you need to manually shutdown the switch after powering it off and it won't reboot back to CFW like AMS does (it would go to AutoRCM instead)

Yeah, there are also Pros and Cons of each one also.

I take it then, if I wanted to use Atmosphere, just run how I normally would. If I want SX OS, have the USB Device in Place, then run it?

Both can be "run" equally. You always need a way to push the payload. And for now, on anything higher than 4.0.1 (or 4.1.0 idk) you need a PC/modchip/phone.

You can use a (cheaper) USB device for Atmosphere if you choose to, and you can use SX OS the same way you're probably using Atmosphere now. How you boot into either of them is pretty irrelevant as far as differences go.

You can use the warmboot browser exploit on 4.1.0.

Unfortunately, I am on 8.0.1 (AMS 0.9.1). This is always what I Boot to.
Followed the Instructions on Switch.Homebrew.Guide . As far as I know, I did not setup any EmuNAND

Use Argon-NX as your payload and use both. I mostly use SXOS as it does everything and has more features than Atmos - but I also use Atmos as you can run modules such as emuiibo from that, so I use an emunand which works for both CFW. Both is better than limiting your options - why only have fish when you can have fish and chips & brown sauce?

You can still use either CFW with the RCM exploit if your Switch is unpatched.

Because one costs money, and you're not getting much for it.

I don't care about the money though - it cost me about £20 about a year ago (which for me is not a lot of money) - and I've been using loads of these features the SXOS since then, which probably works out about 5 pence a day since then and is getting cheaper every day - in fact it's probably once of the best £20 I've spent and I regularly give more than that to charity.

One of the reasons why I am inquiring is because SX OS has a better Cheat Search Engine.

Looking into Argon-NX....
Free cheat engines are just as good, if not better, than the cheat engine of SX OS.

I don't care about the money though - it cost me about £20 about a year ago (which for me is not a lot of money) - and I've been using loads of these features the SXOS since then, which probably works out about £0.18 pence a day since then and is getting cheaper every day - in fact it's probably once of the best £20 I've spent and I regularly give more than that to charity.
You asked, "Why not both?" I told you why not.

Eh, I wouldn't really pay for SX OS. The only reason why I got it was because, as a collector, I wanted to have the SX Pro when it was announced. It has a couple of features the alternatives lack, but ehh, I don't think it's worth it.

Today is really irrelevant wich CFW you want to use. Basically both do the same.

So if you want XCI support, USB loading then you'll go with SX OS

If you want custom sysmodules and dont like to wait for an update, then go with Atmos (Also is free)

Historically, SX OS has lacked the brick protection of Atmosphere, and SX OS even had its own bricking code that could be triggered accidentally.
I guess in that sense, but atmosphere is an utter pain to setup even if you're tech savvy, simply because there's so many unrelated pieces you need and the documentation is pretty poor. Add on to that the official reswitched discord being really unfriendly towards noobs, and sometimes it's easier to just recommend sxos.

  1. Download Atmosphere.
  2. Download signature patches.
  3. Done.
