Hi gang,

need some help working this out, Caana helped me with set up and just trying to work out what he did. As I can't reach him.

I have a modchip installed flashed with Hekate. When I start the console, I see the Atlus logo, immedately followed by SX OS, then I'm in. I can choose between SXOS or custom firmware (holding r button).

Has he dual booted the firmware so it loads both?

here is the hekate_ipl.ini file:

autoboot=1
autoboot_list=0
bootwait=5
verification=1
backlight=100
autohosoff=0
autonogc=1

{---- SXOS ---}
[Auto_Boot_SXOS]
payload=bootloader/payloads/SXOS.bin

{---- Tools ---}
[BisKeyDump]
payload=bootloader/payloads/biskeydump.bin
[Memloader]
payload=bootloader/payloads/memloader.bin
[LockPick]
payload=bootloader/payloads/Lockpick_RCM.bin

{-- Custom Firmwares --}

fss0=atmosphere/fusee-secondary.bin
kip1patch=nosigchk
atmosphere=1
logopath=bootloader/bootlogo.bmp

I manually updated to 7.0.1 all working well. I just want to keep set up and update atmosphere to latest version.

Also is Atlus / Cosmos the new name for sd card files?

Thank you mate. I have managed to do it, but would live to understand how this ini file works and breakdown of yhe functions above, any thoughts?

Need some help guys.

Tried to update to Firmware 8.1.0 using ChoidujourNX, downloaded, updated, and rebooted. As normal.

Now when I reboot, it shows atmosphere logo, then SX OS, then black screen and it won't go any further, not sure what has happened?

I've turned auto boot off and tried to push sx os through Hekate payloads and the logo shows and then it goes black.

Please help?

Further update. I used another sdcard with fresh files, I've managed to load up atmosphere through Hekate. The firmware did update to 8.0. but I cannot load any of my games, it says they are corrupt. I believe I had this problem once before and running sxos played them just fine, just not on atmosphere or reinx. but currently I cannot get sxos to load.

Any advice at all?

do you have a theme installed?
search for a folder 0100000000001000 on your sd card and delete (or reame it)

No theme installed mate.

Do you think it could be the sxos.bin is too old to run on firmware 8.1.0? I don't even know how to get an up to date bin for sxos.

How you booting it , you booting the SXOS.bin directly or through something else like Hekate/Kosmos etc?

I don't know that you can dual boot SX OS + Atmosphere anymore, could be the issue. Just send the payload.bin from your computer to your switch in RCM and it should take you to SX OS.

I've got a modchip installed mate flashed with Hekate, ideally want payloads to work coming from sdcard.

The way Canna has set up my ini file I believe it was dual booting loading Atmosphere plus SX at same time. I've reverted back to a more basic boot now but cannot get sx to run.

I mean you can just go to any store that sells electronics and get a usb type c cable for very cheap and send payloads from your computer. I don't know how to help you with your setup it could be causing the issue.

I realize it worked in the past but Nintendo changes things every time they update their firmware.

You need to contact Team Xecuter because if the boot.dat is on the root of your sd card it should work, other than possible corruption on your sd card (which is possible) there's nothing else we can do here for you.

Unless you have a theme installed themes have to be removed when updating.

Actually did you update your SXOS if it's too old it won't work and if it's the newest one it might not work on 8.1 either, but if you're still using an old version of SXOS you need to update it. But if none of that solves it you will have to take it up with Team Xecuter the makers of SXOS because there's nothing else we can do at gbatemp.
