Hi !

I know the game not so we'll so I begin on switch :)

Actually my switch was suffering at the wide area (swamp?) Just before the "loch Ness" boss !, It laaag so much that was nearly unplayable.
Anyone had the issue ? Is there a fix/update ?

Thanks

Switch on 8.0.1 and launched on normal mode (not with Ram full access, maybe I'll try later)

Are you using cheats?

No at all

Edit : next Lag section : in front of the waterfall, be between the two crates on the water (in front of you there will be some enemies, and at your right)

I don't know what setup you're using but I've ran through the game 6+ times and no lag issue

Video capture proof?

To all people struggling with the FPS in Resident Evil 4 with cheats - for me this soulution works fine:

Go ingame, activate cheats like infinite Ammo, so all weapons and you ammo will set to 999. Save the game. and close it.

Start the game again and do NOT open for any reason the SX Menu (Photo Album in the Menu). Then the performance will be normal and the 999 ammo will last till the next few savepoints. If you are out of Ammo just repeat this. Thats a solution what works fine for me till now.

Check if you can replicate the problem in Atmosphere. There's no reason for there to be lag like what you've described, unless it's related to SX OS.
SX OS is the fault with it's menu taking up the ram RE4 requires

Yes, for any reasons, I opened the album so it ate some RAM.
Just finished the game, and ... personal opinion : it took old !

Thanks !

Its has nothing to do with that menu using ram, SXOS’s cheat system is just super buggy and is known to cause performance issues even with no cheats enabled

Why is my comment getting quoted? I made it already clear enough why RE4 performance is terrible thanks to SXOS and their cheat menu

Because it wasn't the menu that was causing issues, it's the cheat system itself
Well oops. I forgot a word. But anyways...I've mentioned this already several times in another thread about the cheat menu being a pointless thing to keep using on RE4 and the only thing that is useful is doing manual edits to weapons, items and ammo. Or using my code to max every item in the game. After all that BS, you save and quit the application and play normally without opening that menu again. FYI, the cheat system is still within the menu. No player in there minds should be opening the menu regardless to do anything if you have a game open. There's just no point unless you're there to use cheats which is most likely what everyone will do
