You need the screen for the initial setup. If you have a switch with a working screen, or can borrow one for the setup, that should work and get you to the desktop. A usb keyboard will be handy for docked mode.
Sadly I dont have a working switch that I can do this with. I mean, the touchscreen works, if I know where things are I can blindly do it

I can try to get the initial setup done for you after work, but that won't be for another 7 hours.

If we can't use the dock for setup, and USB OTG is buggy. How do we type in the fields to complete setup?

I have a switch with a dead screen. Will this work or I need the screen to select something somewhere?
Edit: on the dock of course.
You should be fine with leaving it in the dock when starting setup, the reason i say not to do that is because it can mess with touch
So, does Kodi work using hardware acceleration?
Should do
Can you dual boot horizon and this?
Yup

There is an on screen keyboard, or you can put in dock but could be various issues with touch

I bought a second switch lot time ago only to run linux on it, finally it has a purpose, thank you all!
