Does this let you use the 3ds for amiibo on switch? That's what i'm looking for.

If you have a compatible blank tag, you can use this to write an amiibo onto it with your 3DS and use the written tag with other devices, including a Switch, as if the tag was a real amiibo.

Does this work for N2DS XL?

Edit: Didnt work at first, but i just updated my System firmware to the latest and it worked.

So I put Thenaya on the launcher, and when I tried to launch the app, It gets stuck atthe yellow screen. I thought I followed the instructions as shown, but maybe I did something wrong?

My amiibo is a SSB amiibo on lvl 50, so when I loaded it up in CITRA it has no stats. Meaning on lvl 1 and no name. Completely new. I scanned my amiibo to make sure it wasn't the amiibo itself, and on my 3ds it's at lvl 50 still. Anyone can help me?

Can Thenaya be used to program Lego Dimension tags? I loaded the .bin for Lego Dimension, but got an error. Is the 3DS hardware capable to program ntag213 for Lego Dimensions?

Has anyone seen this error when trying to [A] - Write/Restore Tag?

It prompts to place tag on scanner, then fails immediately with:
"Write to tag failed." "StartOtherTagScanning() failed. Failed to get UID: -794725232".

Looking online I'm not able to see what that error code means. Any thoughts or ideas on this?

Edit: Running latest luma and have WIFI enabled.
Edit2: Tried on a 2DS as well, with exact same code, so I'm doing something wrong consistently.
Edit3: I'm dumb. I need the nfc adapter in order to pull this off since I have old consoles. lol

it does not work in new2ds xl :(

I tried it on my 2DSXL and it seems like it worked without any problems. [emoji848]

Can this write physical amiibos to nfc cards?

Yes, that’s the main purpose of the app. If you have a compatible (blank!) nfc tag/card, you can write an amiibo to it and then use it with compatible 3DS, WiiU, and Switch games. You can either use this (or another device) to create a backup of a physical amiibo, or you could google them.

happy birthday

CIA version worked fine for me on O3DS with the external NFC reader and blank NTAG215 cards from Amazon. Thanks! (My phone doesn't have NFC and I couldn't find a decent cheap one, so the official NFC platform was the next best option.)

hello I have just tried this and I'm am getting an error

Reading key file sdmc:/amiibo_keys.bin
Key file loaded.
File selected sdmc:/amiibo/.Mario
File too large: 0x00001000.
Failed to read key file: -2

does anyone have any idea what I should do?

Hey. Just curious if this would work with a New Nintendo 3DS XL? I ordered some NTAG215 tags online and I'm really looking forward to getting Wolf Link in Breath of The Wild. And just to comfirm the "amiibo_keys.bin" file is the retail key .bin file right? Am I ready to go? I made an amiibo folder on the root of my SD card and put some amiibo .bin files into it so that I'm prepared. and I put the key file with the name amiibo_keys.bin on my root too, and it's loading correctly on the app so have I done it correctly? I'm just really scared I'm gonna mess it up.
