Every single time I try to use this tool (converting .mp3 and .wav files) all it does is just say "The file was not converted" with a directory listing. I have no idea what's going on, as I've tried converting back and forth between .wav, .mp3, and .flac, but to no avail (saying the same thing each time). I've even tried different versions. I'm on 64-bit Windows 10, can I please get a bit of help?

Could you send me one of those files?

Hi ! I have a problem with the BRSTM to BFSTM conversion. When i try to convert, the app says it's done but the BFSTM file doesn't show up anywhere.. I created a blank sound using audacity and exported it as WAV. Also, i downloaded the x32 version since it's the only one i find but i'm using windows x64.

I need the audio file you used, could you attach it?

oh sorry here it is
1-channel audio files are not supported. Non-FLAC files also tend not to work.
Also make sure both the program and the audio files (both input and output) are not in paths that contain spaces (e.g. "C:\BRSTMCT" will work, "C:\Users\my username\My Music\etc" will not).

I've converted this song to .flac (with Audacity) and then to .brstm successfully on Windows 10 64-bit.

I'll try to "fix" these "bugs" when I have some spare time.

I successfully converted the wav file to a BRSTM file too but when i try to convert the BRSTM one to BFSTM (Wii U), the BFSTM file doesn't show up even though it says it has been successfully converted. I checked the paths and it should be fine. Also thank you i didn't expect an answer so fast !

Edit: I just tried exporting the file as FLAC instead of WAV and it didn't change anything

It worked for me using that song (Little Idea) and I got a BFSTM file. Make sure your BRSTM file is > 0 bytes.
The input file must be 2 ch., 44100 Hz FLAC.

My BRSTM file is indeed 0 Bytes. I don't really know what means 2ch (2 channel i would guess but still don't know what it is nor how to change it), however my input file was a 44100 Hz FLAC file. i'll try with the song you linked me and edit that post.

Edit: I have the exact same problem with the song you linked (i tried using the raw mp3 file as well as converting it to FLAC with audacity). I'm using Window 7 x64 if that helps.

so you have to learn to emulate that specific hardware which isn't as easy as you'd think

It's a locked down Linux distro basically

I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip

    Probably combined in one chip

They place married security chips onto boards iirc

the ps3 used to support installing linux because the cpu was so powerful

At one point PC game pads where poorly supported, loading a game had setup, it was complicated. Now it's almost as easy as a console.
