Hello,

I am having a problem with my Switch.
It is the first time I try to inject a payload and load a CFW.

My Switch is not patched, it is a 1st version (pre-purchased before it was even released) and in ofw 7.0.0.

I tried to inject Hekate payload to boot on KOSMOS v12 (atmosphere) and I also tried REINX (new version).
(I successfully booted on RCM thanks to the soldering option)

After injecting payload, I see CFW splash screens (KOSMOS + Sept or REINX) but then it never boots completely so that I can navigate in them, instead after the spash screens, the Nintendo logo followed by the Switch logo appears and it finaly boots up to the official firmware.
I tried to format my SD Card on exFat AND FAT32 and the same issue occurs.

Do you have an idea on what's going on ?
I have followed several different guides and it's always the same conclusion. :(

Did you try going to the homebrew menu? Sounds like you're on cfw and you just thought that you're still on ofw.

OMG... Dumbest human being ever !! ^^

I don't know why but I thought it was supposed to look different than the ofw !!!!
I'll check at home at noon but you are probably right and it has worked.... :'D

It was not a stupid question at all, I had the same problem and injecting payload 3 times with the same effect until the thought crossed my mind that I am perhaps already in the CFW.
Let me guess you followed the guide and it told you, you should be in the hekate menu after doing this step. For me that was my problem, I guess it changed in the newer version and the guide was not updated.

I followed different guides but it seems it is never specified how the CFW should look like. I guess people are usually clever enough to know that CFW look like the OFW. :)
I would probably add a warning about that if I were to write a guide myself. :) It would have spared (at least for the both of us) a couple of hours searching for nothing. ;)

Not always.. Look at Rebug on PS3. This guy did not make a dumb mistake. He just didn't know. At least he did it properly and didn't brick right!?
Rebug still looks the same. It just has a skin. Or am I worng?
And you can't brick unless you use fake payload or do stupid sh!t.

It says REBUG when you start it up.. Even in older versions of Atmosphere and ReiNX you could tell when you went to system information. I know you can't brick from a legit payload but I'm just saying, you don't have to give the guy a hard time, he got it going. That's what matters right?

SX OS says SX OS. atmosphere says atmosphere and Reinx says Reinx when you start. Firmware still looks the same tho. You can go to system information in ams to see whether or not you are in CFW. Idk about other CFWs.
I am not giving him a hard time. Just explaining that OFW and CFW look the same.

Yea i think cfw look same as ofw only that they perform more than ofw
also some cfw let you change the dashboard like Aurora Dashboard for xbox360

True enough. It's good he got it working.

how did you get into hekate to create an emuMMC after that though?
