What do you think happened most likely?

  • Nintendo DMCA'd them.

  • TX took the money and ran .

  • TX was loosing money because of ATMOS so they couldn't afford to pay their bills.

  • Standard TX hate comment.

You are posting things that are matter-of-fact untrue. Provably untrue. PROVEN untrue.

I repeat: You are lying, again. A domain being suspended and on clientHOLD has nothing to do with moving/upgrading servers. It means you are in some kind of trouble with your registar - unpaid bill or something. The registar opted to suspend your domain.

Now, that occurred. That is factual. A simple whois reveals that. So why are you lying? Why are you giving us some nonsense spin, when you could just tell the truth?
Probably because it kinda says so on the TX Facebook page

Lots of unneeded drama in this thread.

I recently spoke with TX, and they inform me that they just moving and upgrading servers, and migration of all data, forums, etc. is occurring, and with DNS changes, there may be periods of downtime with sites showing offline, but all is good and its just continued part of their previous upgrades this one is more extensive and as such domains may from time to time be not available for access.

If i get more news from them, I will let everyone know.

Hopefully the drama dies down a bit now! :)
Sorry garyopa, but you've been lied to.

As you can clearly see, the domain is suspended and on hold. And as you can also see, it's an uncommon thing that only happens when there's a legal dispute, a non-payment or when domain is pending deletion.

Domain's expiry date is in 3 months (so it didn't expire), so it can't be non-payment, so it must either be a legal dispute, or the domain may be pending deletion. Which one is it? I don't think that people who know the answer are willing to not lie for once

Edit: Also applies to the facebook post, you've been lied to.

Perphaps curious to note is that "Gary Edmonds" is a user that has caused some shills on GBATemp to apparently randomly flip their lid sometime back and is supposedly an alternate handle of Paul Owen or at least closely related to him.

Kinda gives more credulence to it.

apparently this also applies to the stargate website which is under a year old

Well, there are many other countries they can register and host their sites, so if that's the only thing seized it's not a big issue. But a bigger issue if their production line is seized, I guess they can still sell SX OS as software only and pair it with a third party dongle as a package. That's how I'm using SX OS, paired with an NS-Atmosphere dongle.

I thought everyone knew by now that Gary works for TX.

Users of their product should be storing every copy of download they got. So when they are offline, like now, you already have the stuff and dont need the site. What part of that dont people understand...
All the stuff i use to have a wii for example, is stored locally. I have all the ios files i need to hack. Ill never need Nintendo servers or any other web site to hack a wii.
You're right but you can't active your license without the sx page...

Hello.:)

Its very interesting and educational to read here.:yay:
Very advisable.

For me only one question is left:

What will happen when Nintendo site(s) are from one day to the next is "not found" without ANY hint and announcement.
Will they not give us a clue maybe with "Dear customer: Due maintaince bla bla the site is not reachable at the moment. Please be patient.":D

From a business standpoint I don't get it by just TAKING DOWN everything, to move to new servers. Without PRIOR announce it so people don't have to stress in to threads like these then.

I just get an email from my reseller (3ds-linker) that says that they're sorry for inconveniences but because of server maintenance the website is likely to stay down for now but it'll be back online in a week.
They say "don't worry"

I don't know what it's worth but I share it to you guys nevertheless.
