Hi everyone,

I tried searching online and on gbatemp.net for the answer to this question but couldn't find anything. I recently decided to upgrade my microsd card from a 128 gig card to a 200 gig card. I have cfw installed (Reinx) and have installed alot of nsp files with tinfoil. My question is, what do I need to do to transfer all my data (included installed games and homebrew) to this new microsd card. Do I have to use the official method where I use the archive function in the configuration menu? Can I just copy over everything from the old card on the new card via my PC?

Any help would be appreciated.

p.s. I should have put a question mark at the end of the title... sorry!

You can just copy over everything from one SD card to the other as long as they are being used by the same console. I would only start messing with the archive flag if you're using a MacOS or a specific build of Windows 10 as these tend to set the archive flag automatically when transferring files which causes disruptions in how the Switch reads folders.

Awesome! thank you for your quick response. Should I insert the new microsd in the switch before I transfer everything to it on pc? Could I use the same nintendo folder? (it is the same switch)

If there are games installed already, you must use the Nintendo folder from the old SD card. They are constructed a very specific way that make it hard to replicate manually.

yes but how is this possible with Fat32 format type because it only transfers 4GB/s at a time and its safest and best to use a Fat32 format on a hacked switch
