What's the added value of playing this over let's go pikachu or evee?
That you are fighting with monsters, not only catch up in field.
You need to lower HP of pokemon, otherwise you don't have a chance to catch pokemon with pokeball.
You have new story, new map, new pokemons.

It was related with Pokémon go mobile game u don't have to fight with wild Pokémon to catch them.but in this it is like the originals games.u have to lower the hp of Pokémon to catch them.

Let's Go [Eevee/Pikachu] is a Gen 1 remake, Shield/Sword is a completely new story and Gen 8.

But I do wonder whats unique to each version this time around

Did anyone else see the grass one sat on the chimney pot? How feckin tiny are they supposed to be - 1st form starters kinda should be puppy sized, not hamster.... Unless it was a BIG chimney pot....
Should've been called Pokemon Soft or Hard, or Deal/No Deal, or Fairy/Monkey, or summat: but I'll probably plump for the one that has the favourable (imo) selection of exclusives, and for the starter it'll be a combination of what the evolves look like as Xzi said, plus half looking out for which will smash through the early gyms the quickest, coz I'm a lazy git hehe!

Sword/Shield appear to be part of the core series or at least are using the core gaming mechanics, where as Let's Go were completely different from the core games. So the added value is that these games brought back wild battles and most likely every feature missing from Let's Go.

the Galar region, it is said to contain many environments, including idyllic countryside, contemporary cities, thick forests, and craggy, snow-covered mountain
