Hey guys,

I've read there's no patches out for 7.0.1 so you couldn't run NSPs. Which I'm fine with as I don't use NSPs.

However, I've got a bunch of legal backups installed to my switch via XCI. I've found I can, indeed, play them.

I thought I wouldn't be able to since there's no patches? Or does that only apply to NSPs?

You're using SX OS i guess so that's different...

There are patches and we are happily playing our "legal NSP backups" on 7.0.1 now.

Oh god no. Team-X is a cancer. I would never run SX

Didn't know there were patches already. Thought we got AS but not the patches yet. I did just update Kosmos, so that makes sense.

Thanks!

Yeah, Kosmos SDFiles are out already.... patches and all for "legal" backups.

Sigpatches are out and available till the latest version 7.0.1. It may give you an error though so feel free to them and search the forums somewhere.

Download Kosmos then download the latest Atmosphere and overwrite your files, it should work fine not tried it myself but makes sense.

The latest version of Kosmos already uses the latest version of Atmosphere.

So why are you asking about XCIs which are working exclusively for SX OS?
...You can install XCI files to your switch? Do you legitimately not know about this?

I dumped all my game carts to XCI and then installed them to my SD card with n1dus. The only thing SX allows me to do is to boot the XCI files without installing them. So in reality, Team-X helps me oh-so-much by saving me 20 minutes that I might use beating to shark porn anyway.

Don't knock it till you try it :grog:

Edit: The amount of people liking your post indicates there are some very dumb people on this board

Last edited by TPMJB,
I wasn't able to play my XCIs installed with n1dus until the patches. Or whatever Kosmos does. Either way, n1dus would fail to install until I tried out Kosmos.

Am I doing it wrong?
Cartridge dumps are completely different and require FS patches to be installed

I thought NSPs carried a risk of ban? Which is why I always did cart dumps/XCI installs
When you install an XCI it gets automatically converted to NSP so it's the same thing as just installing a NSP. SX OS is the only thing that can run XCIs without converting.
If they were actual legal backups you wouldn't need said patches.... lol
To my knowledge there isn't a way to run any backup without patches, legal or otherwise.
Kosmos still supports the patches. They're just separate for legal reasons. Download the package separately and add it to Kosmos.
Can you elaborate, what's the legal problem with ES patches and what exactly are they for?
