Hi. i want to know if the mayflash 4 port gamecube adapter is fully compatible with my wii u (smash bros for wii u, nintendont, usb loader gx, etc.) I dont want to buy the official one because new ones cost 100$ and used ones have always munched cable descriptions. Has someone tested this adapter already? my priority is nintendont and if it works with nintendont it should work fine with all other apps and games. thanks

about a year ago, i used it, but i only tried 1 gamecube controller. if no one responds before i get to try it again for you, i will respond again after making 100% sure that 4 controllers work with nintendont. (i know you didnt ask for 4, but i figure that would be a more thorough test regardless)

the official one was easy to get a few months ago when smash switch came out, but now it might be a little harder. ive only ever had the mayflash one (since the wiiU smash first came out)

i know what its like to wait forever for something like this, so i just checked right now.

have my wii u setup to launch all wii and wiiu and gc games from the external hdd (two usb ports at the back). gc games boot through nintendont. mayflash adapter using the two front usb ports.

I launched smash bros melee with gamepad support and no tv. gamepad took player 1 spot, gc controllers 2, 3 and 4 all worked. i selected a character with each one.

Tried it again with a tv, instead of gamepad support, and all 4 gamecube controllers worked, but it required me to have my wii u connected to a tv and have atleast 1 wiimote nearby. couldnt do it without a wiimote.

Please let me know if this was a sufficient enough test.

Unfortunately, i cant test your usb extension scenario though as i dont have a usb extension. i want to say it will work, but i do know there is a threshhold. i remember when using a usb extension with my older DJ equipment (maybe about 8 years ago), sometimes it doesn't work efficiently but this is a less strenuous scenario, plus the times have changed quite a bit since then.

Thanks I just have a few questions:
1. I know the adapter has two usb points 1 gray and 1 black. Do they have both to be connected at the same time or is it fine with one?
2. If you have Mario kart Wii, would you test it for me?
Thanks

Also can you test it with smash if you have it? Thanks

Both connected enable rumble feature only. It works officially only with Smash 4 but using Hid To Vpad to emulate Pro Controller and playing Mario Kart 8 works great.
Use in some of mine GC injects and works great too
Also my adapter is not original
