You should always have a NAND backup in case. However, it's very unlikely that the new file will brick your switch.I managed to work the app and convert an masterkey7 game to masterkey5. Can the new file make the Switch brick?
Thank you. I hope it works. You should always have a NAND backup in case. However, it's very unlikely that the new file will brick your switch.
I think it is sd card files of Atmosphere with Hekate. Very old one. I never upgraded it.Do you use SX OS or Atmosphere?

If you use Atmosphere or Kosmos you'll need the patches from the4n:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/i-heard-that-you-guys-need-some-sweet-patches-for-atmosphere.521164/
To launch them download latest fusee-primary-0.8.2.bin and add this line to the config if you use kosmos -> payload=bootloader/payloads/fusee-primary-0.8.2.bin
Yes, just copy the files in the corresponding atmosphere directories on your sd card.Should I just put these files on sd card and is that all?
the nsp files are still corrupted...Yes, just copy the files in the corresponding atmosphere directories on your sd card.
I can update with ChouiDujourNX or via online but I don't want to take any brick or ban risks for that. There must be a simple bypass for lower firmwares.Just update to latest Atmosphere and install 6.2.0. Jesus.
For a brick you should own a working NAND backup in case something bad happens. I also updated my switch to latest firmware without burning fuses so I can go back if I need or want to. I wouldn't recommend using online at all when your switch is hacked or running CFW since there is always the risk of being banned. Just stay offline if you want to minimize your risk.I can update with ChouiDujourNX or via online but I don't want to take any brick or ban risks for that. Also the Atmosphere or other cwf files are always and always missing something on itself. And you should add several patch files on it to work. Noobs like me have to search all the week to find the right files or patches to make Atmosphere work, as if I lucky as the Switch is not bricked so far.

This is ignorant as hell. Just use ChouiDujourNX.
Oh, no, you have to copy over sigpatches and HBL.nsp. Whatever will we do.

I guess you are talking about the NAND backups you made with hekate? Even if your switch is bricked, you can launch hekate and restore your old NAND backup.I have 5.1.0 backups but what if you have like franken-firmware like on 3ds in the process? How can you manage to back up the 5.1.0 files when you are on bricked 6.2.0?
