Hey,

I've been looking around seeing if there's a way of linking a Nintendo account while on CFW (Atmosphère 0.8.2/6.2.0), or making the console think that a Nintendo account is linked.

Really, I'm just trying to avoid the need to restore my clean nand, and then linking, then going back to CFW/90DNS

I was sent a way to do this with editing the account save on the console, but it only seems to work on 6.1.

Reason being, I want to launch certain things from the Shop icon but can't as it asks me to link a Nintendo account first.

Thanks :)

I'm interested in solutions to this too, for games that check for a linked Nintendo Account (e.g. Pianista, Stardew Valley, NES Online). The only thing I could find that may possibly work is DevMenu (which you can find for 6.2.0), which has an "Accounts" tab.

In Accounts > Firmware settings there is a ticked box labelled "Requires Nintendo Account for use of Network Service". Unticking that might work.

You can also choose a particular user and choose "Register NSA" (which I believe stands for Network Service Account). Don't know if this works; it might require connection to Nintendo servers.

I won't have my Switch on me for a while so I can't actually try any of this myself; maybe you could see if any of this works and report back if you're willing to try?

The games run fine offline or using 90DNS. They just check for a linked account for whatever reason, even if they don't actually need online access (e.g. LAN connection in Stardew Valley). We're just trying to bypass the check, while still blocking any connection to Nintendo's servers.

There is a way to do this. One of the warez places has a file you can inject that achieves this.

Yeah that's the one that says it only works on 6.1.. I'll have to give it a try on 6.2 tonight

Even in the best case where it works, it will replace all the users on your switch with the users from the switch that the files came from, which is not a very elegant solution. In the worst case, it's messing about with system saves on the NAND willy nilly, which many people who tried on the original thread said led to their switch not booting...

If you're willing to try it, I really think DevMenu will modify the system saves in the proper way (and much more easily and quickly, if it works). Have a go at

I really would try it myself if I could, but I'm out of the country without my Switch for the next few weeks.

I found the DevMenu nsp by Googling "DevMenu 6.x Definitive Edition".

These are the screens in DevMenu that look promising that I'm referring to:

I think you may need to try Atmosphere, but before that, what about selecting "Register NSA" on an account?
