exFAT will always (always) become corrupted eventually, which can cause files and folders to disappear and can cause other problems. The Switch OS itself is responsible for the corruption. Sometimes the corruption can be fixed on Windows by running chkdsk.

Many people say they have not encountered problems with exFAT. I challenge those people to run chkdsk. I bet they will already see all kinds of corruption in their Nintendo folder that they just haven't noticed yet.

Because of these problems, FAT32 is the way to go. It is possible to just make a backup of all files, re-format the SD card to FAT32, and then restore the files. Installed files in the Nintendo folder are already all <4GB, because the OS does that automatically when installing .nsp files. Guiformat.exe for Windows works well to easily format your SD Card with cluster size 32kb. For large (>4 GB) new .nsp files and your large .xci game cart backups, there are xci-cutter and nsp-splitter tools available to convert those .xci and .nsp files to 4Gb chunks so they work on FAT32.

It is worth it to make the change to FAT32, trust me. I have encountered so many problems with exFAT during my testing of the UAE4ALL2 emulator. Eventually, I switched to FAT32 and all my problems were gone

AMEN to that.

You need wait until early January 2019 as he waiting for
Homebrew Bounty 2018 Month 3: Emulator so just a little longer. :)

And pSNES 2.2 is still there, waiting on github for a release. All the ingredients are here.
caligari filter commit has been there for months now, snes9x has been updated, we have new libnx 1.6.0.1, and so on...

But 0 instruction how to compile and using cmake with all those sub-sub-sub modules makes it a real nightmare.

Or maybe Cpasjuste is waiting for Xmas... Who knows...

That's it. But in the meantime I'm really busy with a project for this month contest! So I'm not just keeping it for the bounty, I'm also very busy.

Can you at least compile what is on github currently and make a turbo release? Or have instructions how to compile it at the very least? Thanks. When I tried to compile it was asking for a file that is already present in the requested folder, no clue what is going on here.

Still super busy? It would be great if you could at least add the building instructions on github. Not sure why you would have your code on github if no one but you can build it... It defeats the "open sourciness" of it and might as well be closed source... Thanks for looking into it!

Take your time, enjoy the festivities of these Bounties and the Holidays {if you're into that}.

Definitely, no need to rush. Especially when you've given the community a number of emulators, for FREE, on multiple consoles.

You'll get to it whenever you decide you're ready and good luck in the contests.

Hi cpasjuste, would it be possible to rebuild PSNES with a older snes9x version like 1.43 or retroarch snes9x2010 to achieve fullspeed snes emulation on lower specs devices like PSVita?

Who cares about Vita, this is a switch forum... Will people learn to read one day and stop hijacking threads? Jesus...

Is this better than the RetroArch SNES core?

While mentiong Retroarch, is its GBA core better than the stand alone GBA emu?

I think pSnes does use a slightly newer revision of Snes9x due to libretro not necessarily using the very latest versions. Same with mgba.

As usual, you have NO CLUE what you are talking about.

psnes is based on 1.57 and libretro is on 1.58 for ages now.
Get some informations before spreading more lies. I guess you can always apply and get a job at CNN or FoxNews. No interview required.

Is this working for anyone in fw 6.2? I had it setup and working fine in 6.1 on SXOS 2.4. After updating to 6.2, it no longer works.
