This One Is Great For All Those Waiting To Enjoy Smash Online!

TX as usual is listening to user feedback and requests, and here it is LAN-PLAY Support is now included in SX OS v2.5 BETA, enjoy! :)
Another day, another release!

Your friends from Team Xecuter are back with a fresh release of your beloved SX OS. This new v2.5 beta release introduces two exciting new functionalities that you all have been requesting.

Let's waste no time on chit-chat, and see what's new in this release:
  • Fixed sleepmode in case of fuse mismatch
Sleep/standby mode would break when your emuNAND was on a different firmware version than your actual system NAND. This has been resolved now. So from now on you can run the latest and greatest firmware in emuNAND while at the same time keeping a lower firmware on your original system's NAND. Nifty!
  • Added initial support for "Internet Local Wireless Play"
Many of you have been requesting for us to add support for "local wireless play" tunneling over the internet. We have integrated this functionality into SX OS for you. This currently requires you to use a bit of software, LAN-Play on a computer to facilitate the tunneling. This software can be downloaded from the LAN-Play website: www.LAN-PLAY.com. Check out their project, they are are doing an amazing job. To enable "Internet Local Wireless Play" simply head into the SX Menu and head over to the "options" page. There's a toggle for enabling and disabling this functionality at will now.
That's all for today. This marks the half-way point of SX OS 2. This year has been amazing and we want to thank the loyal and ever growing TX Switch user community, you guys are the reason this is all possible!
Our resident hard- and software wizards are hard at work at bringing you even more groundbreaking functionality and products. Keep an eye on us!

(As usual, please remember all our latest releases & apps, can be found on our sx.xecuter.com portal website)

Ok, this version is ok, but there's still some flaws:
1.-They still don't fix HDD XCI closing on Sleep Mode, it's that hard for @garyopa to fix it? on the first version with HDD suport it was ok, but with 6.6.2 I can't use it, even Nintendo hear for feedback, why TX can't, if they aren't going to make it open source, at least add what users are requesting
2.-You can't update the kip, the kip has constant updates, I understand that this is to avoid their CFW from having modules that TX doesn't want (Which is stupid anyways)
3.-No crediting to CTCaer
yeah i dont get whats so hard about the kip thing they could atleast give us an option to update just the lan play kip or just load that one kip from a card

mod snip

its not local, its like hamachi that you can play in an online environment using local tools

nobody cares in the end, and if its the backbone, why doesnt atmosphere has it already? is it too illegal to implement, TX has 3 ways of getting it and atmosphere has 0, well I wouldnt say the backbone in the end

how can i play with friends who uses nintendos internet service?

Can i please ask how LAN support works?
Does it allowme to connect to another user playing the same game? Does my version of the game neex to be legit?
Thanks

@garyopa is it possible too implement a splash screen feature in another update? don't get me wrong the TX splash screen is lovely but after a while of long term use it would be nice to change the splash screen and tbh this is the only real feature that I do miss from trying Atmosphere while waiting for the 6.2.0 update. Can it not go under sdmc:/sxos/splash/splash.bmp or something like that.

Mh.. as soon as I activate the new LAN Feature I get error 2253-0002 once I click on local multiplayer in Smash Bros. Anyone else?

Do you have your wifi enabled? Turn-off the airplane mode?
Es Wifi is enabled and connected.. as soon as I disable this new option in SX Pro Menu I can click on "local play" in Smash Bros again but it will not show anyone. The moment I enable it, I get the 2253-0002 error

hi can anyone help with this please, i do all settings as lan play says on switch an when i try an connect to network on switch i get errors
could not connect to the internet
could not perform dns name resolution
please try again later?

regards

i put there ip address in for example, 10.37.0.5 came up with 010.037.000.005, is that where I'm going wrong?

regards

Considering ldn_mitm got a new update just a couple hours ago, SX's implementation is already outdated. And it always will be, unless they decide to abandon their DRM scheme (not gonna happen).

I'm glad SX users will FINALLY be able to join everyone else in Smash Lan-play, but if SX can't keep the module updated, there's really no point in bothering in the first place.

I also have another idea, make a TX Discord server, either unofficial so it can have cool mods and admins, or official so there're more users

I was hoping they'd just let people load custom kips. Oh well.
Everyone was, even us TX haters. Now there will be a ton of new users on Lan-play constantly dropping their connection because their ldn_mitm is old and the only way for them to update is to wait for TX to release a whole new CFW version. Joy.

But module loading will never happen, because it would allow for an easy way to bypass their DRM, and SX without DRM is basically just a really buggy build of Atmosphere

but what's the point on keep having the DRM scheme if it's constantly being extracted

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I think that the only way to fix this updating issue is updating from the kip github releases, that would avoid users from bypassing the DRM scheme

plus EmuNAND plus cheat engine plus USB HDD support plus XCI loading.
