Hardware 2partitions on wiiu hdd??

Hi all! I search in the forum but I cant find if the hdd of wii u can support two or more partitions....my intention is "easy" make two partitions one for wiiu and another on wbfs for Vwii games.... anyone know what I need to do this?? Thanks for all!

It's not. The Wii U takes over the entire drive, including the Master Boot Record, and doesn't allow for any partitions.

Not sure if you're aware of this or not already, but I figured I'd post it anyway just to be sure. This method obviously isn't convenient as having a single HDD/SSD with multiple partitions (one for Wii U, another for the vWii) connected to your console, but if you're willing/able to attach a second drive; you can use the tool UStealth to hide what I'm assuming is the drives partition table which makes it unrecognizable by the Wii U and only visible to applications that specifically support the modification (majority of Wii USB loaders). While you can indeed do this without said tool, or any other for that matter, you'll continue to be prompted by the Wii U to format the drive for its own use which can become quite annoying.

I know it's not the ideal solution and like I said at the beginning you may already know about this, but It's certainly better than nothing.

Since your goal is Wii U and Wii games on one hard drive you can inject Wii games onto the Wii U drive. But you have to do it one game at a time. This is the tool to do it if you want to.

It converts your Wii games to Wup installable (.app files) so you can install them with Wup Installer GX and have them along side your Wii U games on the Wii U menu.

Wow... I feel pretty oblivious right now lol... Can't believe I forgot to mention this method. What NoSoul said above is the way the OP should go unless there's some specific reason he needs to do it from the vWii menu. Only minor draw back to this, is that you'll either need to start a CFW every time you want to play one of your injected games (unless somethings changed); or the better option, setting up CBHC so the signature patching is done automatically at boot up.

Yep, same. Although I do use the menu provided by Haxchi occasionally at bootup to jump straight to the vWii Homebrew channel, what its doing still manages to slip past my mind occasionally. I remember having to go to the Internet browser, perform the browser exploit then load Mocha through the HBL, having CBHC is so convenient I’d say paying the price of $7 for a NDS game to overwrite is completely worth it.

I have every single game injected. Including Wii U, and injected games from Wii, GC, DS and GBA and forwarders for Wiiware games it's around 150 games. I found a site where a guy had them already converted to Wup installable downloaded those and did the rest myself. So I have no need to ever go into vWii again probably.

Yeah going to that website to load homebrew lol and that wasn't all that long ago like 2-3 years ago that you had to and there was only loadiine.

My goodness, that guy must of devoted quite a bit of time to put that all together, cause that’s a whole lot of games. I’m sure it took a decent amount of time to install them too lol. Like you were saying in that other thread though, if someone wants to be able to play nearly every previous game from a Nintendo console on one system, then the Wii U is for them. Too bad Nintendo passed up the opportunity for this on the Switch, at least for now.

And about accessing the Homebrew launcher, I decided to modify my Wii U pretty late in the scene, but even at that time solutions like normal Haxchi weren’t available either. Quite a lot of the big advances (or at least the ones that made things a lot more convenient) in Wii U Homebrew seemed to have come pretty late in its life actually, but it was certainly worth the wait.
