Homebrew Question External Hard Drive For SX OS

You can't load nsp games off the drive only install from them thats going to be a common issue alot of ppl will run into since xci games are only supported through external drives.
But yeah the latest sxos update allows bigger drives than 2TB so no need to partition parts of your drive its just needs to be exfat.

Not sure what I am doing wrong, but computer management, nor Disk Genius nor partition master will let me extend my 2TB partition to be a full on 4TB partition (well 3.86 TB is about all that it will actually let you utilize)

Do we just put the XCI's on the root of the external hd? I tried that and they aren't showing in SX OS?

Probably you are using mbr partition table which has 2tb partition limit. Try to reformat using gpt instead.

yeah so even with the new sx os 2.2.1 beta fw my wd passport drives are not recognized. doesn't matter if game files are on root or sxos/xci/games file structure. xci still found on root of my one small 64 GB flash drive. only thing that works for me. I know these drives did not work on my ps3 during ps3cfw days, supposedly due to the fact that they were USB powered, not AC adapter powered. USB supposedly couldn't give enough power for game backup use. I had a AC powered phantom brand TB drive that worked with PS3 perfectly. This AC powered drive is also not recognized by my switch. I m kinda out of ideas. I ve tried exfat of course and even fat32 for the hell of it. Unless i am all of a sudden mentally challenged, switch just randomly chooses drives that work and some that don't.

How can I install NSP file (11GB) over network or usb with firmware ignore? Tinfoil does not remove fw check via network and I can't get usb to work.
DZ "failed to open sxusb"

Hey, I got a seagate 5 Tb external hdd. Witch has external power supply. I formated this to exfat and transfered my xci and nsp. But it won't work. I thought sxos gave support for big hdd now? Anyone had some experience with that? Are I doing something wrong

Yes, I had an experience with that.
And the answer? It didn't work at all with my 15GB USB flash drive
I posted it here somewhere.
The only guy who answers me, throw away your rotten USB flash drive, man, it's Windows xp compatible....
Anyway, do you see the kind of answer?
So I just answered to this gentleman that finding a hard drive compatible with sxos 2.2.1 BETA!! will be difficult, because my usb drive works with my wii, with my ps2, and that this key is ideal and has repaired dozens of PCs, that's my point of view, only garyopa has answered well by saying this

Hi,

I buy SXOS yesterday and I have a little problem... I want install nsp updates/dlc/games via usb to my SD Care but i’m on 5.1 OFW. Tinfoil of Sxos don’t have the option to ignored updates system when install a game.

How I can install a game from usb ignoring the update request? And if i need a homebrew, what is the directories to put nsp?

It’s possible ignore update firmware with .xci games? Maybe installing updates of the game with ignoring update?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, I have tried that. And on the root of the drive. But still it won't work. You can see a search wheel shearshing. But nothing happens..
more games you have , longer the search wheel will take , mine takes about min and half
