I would love to see the 3D slider as a brightness slider. Would love to see something of sorts, would be much more useful than actually toggling the 3D.

On 3dbrew the number was higher for new 2ds

MCU_FIRM for new3DS was updated in 8.x and 15.x, so I'm not surprised it's higher for new2DS since it came with 15.x, and probably nobody maintaining 3dbrew has a new2DS and an MCU tool to read the version.

So do you have it covered? Or do you need firms?

I would just put soft plastic that old the bottom screen away from the top, because it scratched my top screen a little, but exept that, my old3ds XL from 2013 is perfectly fine :)

That is an aesthetic problem, not hardware. Sadly original ol3DSes were annoying for leaving smudge on the top screen caused by the bottom screen, and replacing the top screen cover is even more annoying because it requires a heatgun to replace. I'd suggest cheap sticky pads to keep the top screen a tiny bit elevated from the botton part, or at worst case a screen protector (which is the more elegant but more expensive and less-lasting solution).

I just don't put my 3DS in my pocket anymore x)

Don't know if anyone suggested this, but an option to swap analog and D-pad inputs (kinda like what the PSP had) just because, some people could have an issue or something and would be a nice idea, possibly adding the option to disable one of the two as a bonus (eg: if your D-pad is broken and always pressed you can disable it and use the analog instead or the C-stick on N3DS instead of D-pad even).

Mine has 13.41 too, so that means that my patches will support new2DS too.

I found some serious bugs in my tools, so it'll take more than "a few days" to make a patch until I fix them. Writing a disassembler + analyzer from scratch may be kinda easy, but it's ridiculously time-consuming, and you DO make lots of mistakes on the way because of that. I'd rather waste half a year per patch than to accidently brick someone's 3DS due to a programming error.

I fixed a bug in my tool which made a lot more actual code to be disassembled, and thus I have found how to fake a WiFi swith flick, so I'm now working on the double-Power to WiFi patch now.

Please remember that even if I finish the patch in a few days, I won't be able to share them without making the flasher as foolproof as possible. Currently it's possible to flash an old3DS MCU_FIRM on a new3DS, and I wouldn't want to release such dangerous tool to people. If someone here is experienced with adding *sane* tamper detection to the patch files then please send me a PM (or write here if you can't PM me), I'd greatly appreciate it!

My cameras stopped working at all all of the sudden many months ago, and my mic doesn't work either (might be because it's jammed with lotsa dust, because it was lost under my brother's bed for 3 months)
Yeah, me too, but without the microphone and ALL cameras. Also, I would like 3D slider as brightness! And invert the volume slider so up is lower, and down is higher. I'm using a New 3DS XL. I guess I want a lot.

Hehehe *going insane*
Everything really.
Broken buttons, Slot-1 functionality, touch screen, circle pad, backplate, volume slider doesn't increase volume that much, wear and tear, and the battery was replaced due to swelling.
All in all, I need to send this N3DSXL to Ninty (not sure if they'll take it if I remove homebrew tho)

At that point you might as well just buy a new one

@Sono might not be MCU related, but swapping screens (display the top screen on the bottom with a button combo or something) and allow for different view modes (cropped, streched, etc). A single screen 3ds would be cool.

Sadly that's not possible in 3DS mode. However, I have once done a screen swap patch, but it's very flickery, the colors are off, and causes headache and possibly permanent brain damage after extended use, so I won't link it, sorry.
