I would appreciate quick help. I was following the 3DS hack guide by using DSi Acekard 2 flashcart method. Somehow I jumped on the next step of flashing ntrboot instead of first completing the prep step 1. Step 1 mentions to do the following:
Instructions
Section I - Prep Work
  1. Power off the source NDS / NDSL
  2. Insert your flashcart’s SD card into your computer
  3. Create a folder named ntrboot on the root of your flashcart’s SD card
  4. Copy boot9strap_ntr.firm from the boot9strap ntr .zip to the /ntrboot/ folder on your flashcart’s SD card
  5. Copy ntrboot_flasher_nds.nds to your flashcart’s SD card
  6. Reinsert your flashcart’s SD card back into your flashcart
  7. Insert your ntrboot compatible DS / DSi flashcart into the source NDS / NDSL
I just turned my DSi and try to load the AIO menu from the main screen but it's not loading. I'm getting message, "An error has occurred".
Can someone please guide me on how to restore the Acekard back to its former state?
Much appreciated.

. . . did you finish the guide?
what was the last step you know you did before skipping?
and where exactly did you skip to?
and what step were you on when you realized you skipped steps?

I just followed Step 2 in the guide ( the portion where if you have DSi available with flashcard to mod 3DS). Then I realized I didn't create folder and copy the file as mentioned in Step 1. I immediately took out the card from the PC and tried in DSi to see if it boots or not. There I got the message when I clicked on the Acekard icon stating that "An error has occurred"

How were you even able to follow section 2 without copying over the flasher and all that?
Well, anyway, it seems to me like you got ntrboot installed so you should just try to continue with the guide after the last step you did and see if ntrboot actually works.

so I tried Step "Installing boot9strap (ntrboot)" and I'm not getting through it.
Here's the screenshot. I have a feeling that since I missed the Step 1 to copy files that might be the reason.
Please advise how to proceed.

Also, can someone point me to the right direction from where to get the boot.3dsx as mentioned in the below step? I don't see in the boot9strap.zip and SafeB9SInstaller.zip

at this point it looks like you have flashed nothing over the ak2i . . . wait you never said i is this an ak2rpg or an ak2i? regardless it looks to me as you wrote a blank slate to it and without a cfw 3ds/2ds to restore/rewrite to it i dont know how to advise you to proceed

Thanks for the quick reply. the acekard I'm using is acekard 2i. Is that not compatible for modding?
If its ok to use now when I try to use it in DSi I'm getting "an unknown error has occurred". How can I fix it to restart the process again? Much appreciated your help.
Thx

ak2i is the correct model but you seem to be in a bit of a jam you cant restore/re-flash the ak2i without a cfw 3ds and cant use it for ntrboot in the state its in

if you were in the usa i would offer to fix the ak2i for you . . . the only Australian i know on gbatemp is @Quantumcat perhaps if you ask nicely (and pay postage if applicable) she will fix your ak2i for you . . . because the only way you can flash the flashcard now is the "3ds multi system" method a.k.a. an already hacked console

or you can buy a new ntrboot flashcard carefully install cfw on your 3ds then you could restore the ak2i using your cfw 3ds

If I go ahead with Frogminer method, does it mean I will have limited support for apps? Would I be missing anything in the long run?
Thanks again
