Hacking Splitted XCIs on SX OS?

As far as I know splitted XCIs files for XCIs bgger than 4GB are supposed to work on SX OS. But I cannot get any to work. They show up on the SX Rom Menu, but crash on mounting. I used XCI Cutter for splitting them.

Yes, XCI Cutter does that by itself. So is XCI Cutter the tool for splitting? Are there others I could try?

SD corruption. Happened to me, switched to fat32, never looked back.

Got a splitted game to work that I splitted with that Java based tool. However the game icon isn't shown on the rom menu. It's just white. Is that normal?

It worked before. It is best to ask in the TX forums for support.

Which version of SXOs are you using ? and firmware ?

I'm on firmware 5.1 and SX OS 2.0.

IM using the java splitter too and the thumbnails don't work for most games too. A few work. Some don't. So it's normal.

There are various tools around, even in this forum, there are at least 4 I believe

XCI only.

Some users experienced sd card corrupted when formated in Exfat and using hombrews. In this case you have to reformat the card.

It's a commonly reported problem, everyone says "I've had no issues with exfat, right up until they do". Any dev involved with homebrew will tell you avoid exfat, best to take their advice. Besides there are plenty of ways to overcome the 4GB limit for both XCIs and NSPs

I see, I'll probably switch back to fat32. How do i overcome the 4GB limit though?

For XCI's use an XCI cutter. I use this one, but I think there are others.

For NSP's, either install over network via Tinfoil/DZ, or use the recently released NSP Divider
