Hacking some doubts to create nand backup

Hi,
I have a new Switch with 4.1. I don't turn on the Switch yet.
I need to upgrade to 5.x or 6.x to make compatible with exFAT.
I don't know the order to make the Nand Backup.
I must upgrade first to 5.x for example and then make Nand Backup or I must make first Nand Backup and then upgrade to 5.x?
Other question... I should create first user and then I do Nand backup or make backup before create user?

You don't have to update for exFAT. Just get 4.1.0 FW and install exFAT via choidujournx.
But you should do a backup before doing anything, so do 4.1.0 backup and then update however you want and probably do another backup.

okay apart from following the guide above do you care about cold/warm boot?

If not update first then nand backup

If you do care about downgrading follow the guide then update using choiNX

Update then backup. Because once updated you can't restore to previous firmware once fuse is burned. Contrary to some believes, burning fuse is ok to avoid messy setup.

You can restore and use it as long as you are booting thru rcm.
