Hacking 2 systems having CFW (possible?)

So as you already know, I cfwed my 3DS but it has a broken R button!!!
The method I used? Seedminer!
Luckily, I have a 2DS which has all buttons working well!
So I came up with a plan

I'll send my 3DS to get the R button fixed and have the 2DS in the meantime.
So I thought "maybe I can link my NNID to my 2DS and re-download the dsiware from there!
But nintendo got to pull this off by making the NNID link to ONE system...

Today, I discovered that you can actually unlink the NNID from the system with godmode9!
So here's my plan: I'll remove my NNID from the CFWed 3DS and then link it to the stock 2DS. Then, I'll go to the eshop and re-download the dsiware! I'll do the seedminer method on the 2DS and once I have CFW on 2DS, I'll unlink the NNID from the 2DS and then link it again on the 3DS. How's that sound???

Removing your NNID using GodMode9 doesn't unlink it from the system from the point of view of Nintendo's servers. The only way to get your NNID to the 2DS is to perform a system transfer.

Backup your NAND on the 3DS, perform a system transfer to your 2DS, and then restore the NAND on your 3DS.

This will allow you to move your NNID to the 2DS while keeping your 3DS untouched.

And suprise suprise, I have mario maker which requires the sd card or else, bb save data.
*sigh* I thought you could cfw someone's system by doing a multi system method...
but I guess no.

Anyway. it's not that bad. As you may know by my signature, I have a CFWed PS3.
Mmmaybe I'll just send my 3DS to get it fixed and in the meantime, I'll just play other consoles, making this thread useless

1. Backup the NAND on your 3DS
2. Remove the SD card from your 3DS
3. Perform a system transfer from your 3DS to your 2DS
4. Restore the NAND on your 3DS
5. Put the SD card back in your 3DS

By following these steps, your NNID will be on your 2DS, and your 3DS will be in the same state it was before you did the system transfer. The only exception is the NNID will not work on the 3DS, since according to Nintendo's servers, it's linked to the 2DS. Your SD contents will be untouched.

I worry about downloading 3ds cias
Of course, downloading homebrew cias is totally ok. But what about normal games, is it safe? Will I get sued or banned OR EVEN GO TO JAIL?

For the retro games I'm not worrying since they're so old and a trillion of people played these.
Please, this thought is stuck in my mind. Will it be safe to download game cias? I don't want to live the "Why is the FBI here" meme (you know the one )

What about this idea:

1. System transfer 3DS → 2DS.
2. Send 3DS to repair.
3. Install custom firmware on 2DS.
4. After you get the 3DS back, you do another system transfer 2DS→ 3DS (you will have to wait at least one week before the second transfer).

It’s not complicated (and Lacius' idea seems easy to me too). In the end the Nintendo ID is linked to the 3DS again. I do not think you will lose any savegames that way either. And… yes... you should backup the NAND anyway (if you haven’t done this already).
If you want to install cfw on your 2DS, there is no way around the system transfer (unless you get a ntrboot compatible card or buy another download code).

No copyright for video games has expired yet. It is illegal to download commercial games without paying – even if they are “retro games”. Nobody can guarantee that nothing is gonna happen – but if you only download and do not share games online it is very unlikely. Going after every single person doing such things is almost impossible and of almost no use for the rights holders. It’s not worth the effort and it is not easy to even find the downloaders. Putting someone in jail for a simple copyright infringement sounds even more unlikely. Sounds like breaking a nut with a sledgehammer. Maybe a VPN or the Tor network can put your mind at ease.

My personal opinion is: Buy the games you want to play. However it is your responsibility and your conscience. And, this is important: I AM NOT A LAWYER! My text is not an official legal advice!

I'm doing something called "fair use". I'm not gonna share any ROM's on the internet (cuz nintendo will make me pay 150k $ and nobody likes THAT)
I'm just gonna play!

Even then, I added CFW so I can use R4i WHICH most of the games inside are games that I already bought (and lost )

So, what you're trying to say is: You can download ROM's but not upload or share any, right?

If you want to install cfw on your 2DS, there is no way around the system transfer (unless you get a ntrboot compatible card or buy another download code).

Ummm I don't think I'm gonna wait another 2 weeks for ANOTHER download code (yeah I'm not joking, took 2 weeks for the box with the download code to arrive.)
Why didn't they just call someone to open the box, tell them the download code and then give me the download code THAT WAY!

*sigh* the world would be better if someone listened to my plans (except those free CFW plans that I made, screw those)

Honestly if you spend a little money you can buy an R4i Gold Plus and never have to think about how you are going to hack your system again.

Of course you can. IF you are willing to do a system transfer. The legit DSi-ware game will transfer to the 2DS and everything is fine.

You can just buy another copy of the game or even do a system transfer. You are setting up your own limits.

I can't buy another copy because the one I bought came after 2 weeks! I don't want to wait 2 weeks again... neither I want to pay 15$ again

I'll just send the 3DS for repair (R button broken) and... y'know, play other consoles like DSi XL (which is 1.4 and it's compatible with R4i), PS3 (which is CFWed and lets me install anything on it!), Wii and even emulators on PC (before you ask, no, I can't play 3DS games on my laptop cuz it's a 2009 laptop and I bought it for 300$

Anyway, you get my point. Just pretend that this thread never ever existed
