no if that statement is true then it should not be patched.

Please answer what i have asked you in reagrds to what tegragui shows you when you try to connect or put into rcm mode...

Simply to test you may hold power button for 20 secs.
then insert jig. then hold volume up whilst holding tap the power button the screen should stay blank...
that means its in rcm mode..

If you see the nintendo logo it means it did not work try again,,
if it still dont work the jig is not working correctly aka not making contact with the pins.. try another jig or rcm method....

If you get the blank screen... then use tegra gui to send the payload with the usbc cable attached...
install the drivers tho first.. there is a option in tegragui that says install drivers..

You can follow my guide if you like once you have rcm i suggest you follow it regardless so you can make a full backup, there is also information in the guide to use tegra

We already knew your console was not patched ... cause of when you said you got the console lol..
But anyway all the info you need is there, now figure out if your getting into rcm or not .

OKay so when i place jig in, and press volume up and power, the console does not power up, meaning I am in RCM mode. When i then connect the USBC cable the power turns on. The only way around this I can find is by leaving the cable in and then doing the volume up and power to go into RCM. is this okay?

I took switch apart and put it all back together and now the sd card is not showing on the nintendo settings, I tried taking sd card module out and back in again and it is not recognising. Is there a trick to placing the module back in?

what are you doing young man , there is or was no need to remove the sd card reader,, yes the sd card reader has a connector that if not placed correctly it will not work ..take it out carefully, remove the stickyback foam reinsert it your feel a gentle little snap under your finger then place foam back on you should not of touched the reader or open it up..

i suggest you use a shorter usbc cable or another..
Orange on tegra means its sending payload. that app closes well then thats a issue close your antivirus and stuff like that for a moment or even try to reinstall tegra gui even run it as admin its not the switch...

LOL Sorry dude, I'm just getting so excited. Okay, let me get it all working first, then will start from the top with new installs in admin mode, another cable etc. Thanks again.

Okay all working now. I did run into ' A system update is required to use microSDXC' I'm currently on 5.1, do I want to upgrade or just go with a micro sd regular or HC ??

WHAT DID U CHANGE ? CABLE ? NO dont update anything yet. Abd that was a update because it wans to update to adding exfat support to your system.

Also you cant follow my last step in my guide, for kezplez unless you use a fat 32 format on your card..
This is because you dont have exfat support on your sytem yet. when you have exfat support on your system then you can use a exfat formatted card..

If you look as my guides in regarding exfat on lower system guide. and follow one of those.... dont do it through the system normally as you may update to 6.0,you dont wanna do that yet... if your gonna run cfw modchip and hack and load game backups then always keep your switch disconnected from internet . airplane mode. Or it be banned.

Still soon as you boot custom or use custom on your switch when it goes online in normal or cfw you will be banned..
Hacked switches dont go online period. regardless if you boot into normal or cfw..
iN NORMAL THEY CAN SEE YOU USED HACKS/BACKUPS/HOMEBREW

Does this include going online to browse store? I never play my games online. I've got a handful of games my nephew plays on , but all offline.

Once you go online they can snuff your console and if you been a bad boy there ban you nintendo dont care if u have used pirated games or not or just looking at the store... you hacked there toys and there not happy. and to stop you being a bad boy they will ban you from online eshop updates.. once banned you can still use your switch as normal just without online features or updates, you can get updates offline, games , and game updates..
