Hey so new to this WiiU modding stuff. Trying to dump Nand with this app "Nand Dumper v3" bit everytime I load the app and press A it freezes.

Can someone point me to what I'm doing wrong please?

Here's a pic for reference of what happens

Make sure you are running haxchi before running it or have CBHC installed, also make sure you don't have a bootleg SD card or not enough space to dump everything.

I used the browser exploit not the haxchi one with a NDS game. Is that probably the reason it's not working?

Cool so after loading up thru Haxchi it worked. Dumped everything but mlc 1st go now I'm dumping the mlc with more space.

I get this is a failsafe in case of brick, but what app do I use to utilize these bin files in the case of a brick incident?

And also why should I use cold boot over haxchi if haxchi is much safer?

Lastly I'm guessing you have to keep the SD card in the wii u otherwise it wont work right? Like we cant save the data locally to the internal hdd of the wii u and never have to use the sd card again? Or is that what coldboot accomplishes?

You need at least a 64gb sd card for dumping nand off a 32gb system. CBHC is more convenient if you can get the installation to go through, but there is the risk of brick. Coldboot just save you the trouble of running the haxchi exploit every boot.

Nice. Thanks for the info. Now just to figure out what to do from here..... by chance you have a link to some Breath of the Wild mods?

I am on 5.5.3 and Nand Dumper v3 is dropping me to the wii u menu and not dumping keys. Using a 64GB sd card formatted to fat32 with 32k cluster size using the windows fat32 format tool.

I used browserhax to get hbl and ran mocha cfw from there then nand dumper as directed in this guide https://switch.homebrew.guide/wiiu/wiiubefore but nand dumper is just going to a white screen, then the wii u logo, then dropping me to the wii u menu.

So I rebooted and ran browserhax again and then installed haxchi in my ds game and entered hbl from there. Again I ran nand dumper and again it dropped me to the wii u menu without dumping anything.

Any suggestions of what I can try?

*Edit*
Turns out running Mocha or Haxchi first is what caused the problem. I guess you can't run cfw first and then dump the nand. So I pressed A when launching Haxchi to go directly to hbl, then nand dumper works. fine.
