I think the config app that's still on Google Code is the latest one. The r70 download here has it in the usb-loader folder.
Found it and it's working great. One thing I want to do, in CFG, I want to change the action of the Reboot button. I want it to do nothing or just grey it out?. Can't figure out where in the configurator options I would do this change?

I am having problems. If i format anything with WiiGameManager or anything else from PC, it won't allow me to select partition, if i format it using the one in there it allows it to be seen on windows as a bunch of garbled files.

Hi all, just getting into using the Wii with CFG usb loader - wondered if I could ask a couple of questions -

I've modded the Wii using MicrowaveSam's 2015 guide () - it all worked fine.
I've then been using CFG usb loader (v70, from the Wii Hack Pack MicrowaveSam provides)) to backup DVDs on to an SD card, and play them from there.
It's all worked perfectly on almost all the games we have (eg, Wii Fit, Wii Party, Virtua Tennis, Lego Batman 1 and 2...) so I can't be far wrong. But two things:-

1. On loading Lego Star Wars Complete Saga, I get "Error: Cios 222/223 v4 needed for BCA" - but then the game seems to load and run fine as far as I can see anyway. Is this something I should fix, or should I just be happy that it works?
2. Wii Play - ripped pretty quickly with no errors (is it really <100Mb?), but when it tries to run, I get a black screen with masses of text rushing up too fast to read, and some messy graphic corruption at the bottom, ending with a "Restart in 60 seconds" sort of message.

Not the end of the world in either case! But having got this far, I was just curious to understand a bit more.
Many thanks for any ideas,
Wes

Thanks - sometimes hard for beginners to pick which are the best/less good places to start, and the video-walkthrough is quite tempting... Good to know which are the most reliable - the wii.guide steps seem about the same to what I did, so hopefully nothing's gone too far off track.

On 2 - I tried a redump - same result. No errors are spotted in the ripping, and the DVD looks more or less ok. The game also plays ok the DVD (making it even less of a problem!) - although I guess an unspotted error on part of the disk might mess up the dump, but not cause an immediate problem playing from DVD... I remember reading somewhere that Wii Play does odd things with USB/SD loading, but I can't seem to find that thread now. "Wii Play" is not the easiest phrase to google and get results about the specific game...

Wii Play doesn't have any issues. It should work fine with d2x cIOS based on IOS 56 or 57. What did you use to rip it? CleanRip should tell you if the image is good after it's done.

I used the Configurable USB Loader itself to rip the image - push '+', it detects the DVD correctly, push 'A', and rips the DVD without reporting errors, push '1' and it successfully gets the artwork. I do have other scratched DVDs, where it "successfully" reports errors and fails, so if it is an image-ripping error, it must be a subtle one where the error is not noticed. I'll try with cleanrip and see if that notices anything.

Hi. I need a response here. I want to apologize for creating a whole thread about CFG USB Loader.
So... resumming briefly:

1.- Hacked my wii with LetterBomb way back when WII got updated to 4.3. This was because I updated from 3.X in order to keep using HBC on 4.3
2.- I think I installed everything FOR USB LoaderGX. I used it for some time way back in 2011, stopped using it... until this day.
3.- Found out that CFG USB Loader could use SD Cards, so I installed CFG USB Loader v70
4.- Re-installed cIOS 249 with base 38 rev65535 <---(or something along those lines)
5.-
Added Tatsunoko vs Capcom on my SD in .wbfs format. Setted up my folders and congifured the congif.txt in USB Loader in order to use the loader in english.
6.- It recognizes the games, but won't load them as it throws the following error: ERROR: setting up fragments 0 / 3 ID Mismatch: [gameID]

What's going on here?

How do I download the covers for this?
I've already solved my previous ID Mismatch issue... so do not bother responding my previous question...

In GX, in the main menu, press 1 on your WiiMote and it will ask if it wants to download covers.
No, I'm not using USB LoaderGX
I'm using CFG USB Loader.
I found a post on Google that says that one can download "Missing Covers" from the Configurable USB Loader.exe, but can't find that option.
Also, I presume there's an option to manually download png files and setting a path in order for CFGUSBLoader to display them properly... but right now I'm way tooo drowsy to pay attention to those issues

@Johnton - How did you fix the MISMATCH issue? I seem to have recently ran into this myself on a couple Wii's.
I installed d2x cios into slot 249 with rev 35655

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Thanks on the laptop i see the covers but I can't see them on the wii, I try download and all will fail..
I used WiiDTB and I just downloaded the packs with the covers and the disk's images. Then I choosed which ones I needed based on their GAMEID and put them on the covers folder on my SD.
That worked,

That worked,
So I must have a folder named covers on the root of the sd and in that folder i must put only the covers and cd images from the games I have on my hdd and just put them all together in the folder, or in sub maps ?
