it was possible in the days of the PS3 when we could easily have CFW/MFW but just looking about shortly after having just gotten a PS4 (wound up w/ a 5.50 in the wild at Walmart and my local gamestop said every used unit gets updated before it can be sold :/ ) the PS4 Scene is far from it atm,

Not that easily, there is talk about downgrades using glitching but nothing has been released yet. By the time it's possible then there will probably be a kernel exploit for 5.55

won't you have the issue of keys considering spoofing won't affect this? games requiring newer keys simply won't run with a spoof.

Nope.

If you are thinking you could downgrade by installing 5.05 on a 5.55 console by just renaming 5.05 pup (or something inside the pup) to 5.56 then no lol

How would you unpack, spoof and repack for OFW (not fake signed) a OFW PUP without official keys?

The pup hmac verification (IIRC) wouldn't allow it to install even if you could manage it.
