Using open source code != Stealing code
Not providing sources to modifications to said open source projects and profiting off it as your own == Stealing code.
Just because it's open source, doesn't mean you can just take the code without regard to the damn Copyleft License you agreed to by downloading and using the codebase to begin with.
And guess why we have to constantly remind people why NOT to use SX OS.
This reminds me of the controversy surrounding the PS2 emulator on android with "stolen code". But at the end of the day its the best ps2 emulator on android despite all that, just like everyone uses SX OS - so who gives a shit? It isnt even worth mentioning lol
And guess what happens when you have script-kiddie devs who steal others' work, profits off it, and (most importantly) does not contribute back to the original source? You get blasted, earn a terrible reputation, and leads to your work (ironically) getting pirated en-masse. NO ONE is going to want to use an emulator with that reputation -- and no real work's going to be done to improve upon it, because the dev's own work isn't even their own work! If they couldn't be arsed to make their own codebase from the ground up, how the hell do you think they're going to make any substantial improvements? That's why not a single person with any sense of self-respect will willingly use DamonPS2.
It has already been confirmed that, outside of the bootloader and maliciously implemented brick code, every single piece of TX's code is flat-out stolen from open-source projects, and hastily plunked back into SX 'OS' with no regards to contributing to the projects themselves, or even providing proper credit.

On topic, this is why we cannot provide support for SX OS; it's not out of malice, but the distinguished FACT that TX simply can't be arsed to play the CFW game responsibly and support all ends of the spectrum equally. They are piracy devices, first and foremost, with homebrew as an afterthought. If there are ever any major improvements to homebrew codebases that benefit from updates (to say the Hekate payload, Atmosphere, or whatever), you can bet that TX likely won't give a shit.
We get it.. You dont like TX. So fucking what. I dont like you but im not spamming up threads about it trying to cause drama over supposed stolen code. Get it? Nobody really gives a fuck!
It isn't just me that dislikes it -- most anyone who uses SX OS for more than just piracy doesn't trust TX's work. I'm not even the one sparking the supposed drama -- you can thank TX for not being responsible about their own damn product for creating their own accusatory remarks and distrust. All I'm doing is pointing this out to anyone that uses it.
If it works for you, cool -- but it won't work the same for everyone. That's why disclaimers exist. If you don't follow them appropriately, which you agree to by downloading our software in the first place... well, that's your own damn fault for forgetting how to read.
