I just bought a switch bundle with splatoon 2 today and wanted to know if this is the version of switch that is hackable or not as i understand some unhackable switch just rolled out. my serial is XAJ10027. it came with a 4.1.0 firmware

You would know if you took the time to read the TL;DR window properly. As @DaVinci quoted before, XAJ40052X and below are safe to buy. There can be no misunderstanding, it's NOT patched.

You are right that the this range does not apply to your Switch, but if you had looked further you would have noticed that we have data for the range XAJ400400 - XAJ400520. Your Switch is not in the range, but it is under the range. And since that range is reported as unpatched, yours is unpatched as well.

That’s the reason for the tl;dr.

All consoles should get to RCM, even patched ones. Use decent jig.

Did you follow the tutorial from gnilwob?
It's called A definitive way to test if your Switch is patched or not (purchases after 07-2018).

Its on SX OS now, problem was my cable it was only meant for charging, i ended up buying a new data cable its running fine now on SX OS
