I've used a 3rd party dock and now no dock is working.
Is there a way to get it to dock again??

magico29 surprisingly there wasn't a world wide email or an emergency text sent out about this. Literally no one's been warned. The people who've read about this problem have found out themselves.

Mr. Wizard thanks for the info and link. This sucks bad. Especially now that there's a new hardware revision. I'm definitely not sending my Switch back to get replaced.

The difference between the reddit post and your problem, though, is you can get the switch to boot, correct?

No it boots. I can charge it with the OEM power pack. A usb C cable from my laptop to the Switch shows a lightning bolt/charging, but it'll die over time.

When I'm playing the switch and put it in the dock, nothing happens. The screen is still on. It doesn't even show it's being charged if I go to the Home screen.

I can solder, but I dont have any work station like the guys in the links in the link.

I was really hoping this would be a sort of software problem. I was thinking that'd be possible because it didn't happen until the 5.1 update. So software killed it. I was hoping I could "revert" the software to fix it. Seems kind of intentional by Nintendo.

Do you have another switch? If so, test that one in the official dock. There could be an issue with it, but I doubt it.

My cousin has a brand new one. The two docks work for his. Mine works in neither. It's the Switch 100%.
I have a lawyer on retainer. I might look into a lawsuit because this seems like a direct cause of Nintendo sabotaging 3rd party vendors and myself.

At this point, I would recommend getting in touch with Nintendo Support or the company that made the dock.

The dock problem has been known for couple months, all started with 5.0.0 firmware, that why I have a c-force I can't use.

I doubt you can even get a lawyer to fill a lawsuit against, don't think you would even have a case since you use third party dock. I would say contact the third party dock company. And don't tell me you used a nyko dock.
