So i bought a 3DS about 3 years ago, i used to play games downloading cia files and installing them using title manager or BigBlueMenu, but i had a problem that i couldn't play new games at the time like Shovel Knight and Majora's Mask, they stay stuck at ''Nintendo 3ds'' screen so with time my nintendo was just sitting dust until recently.
i know that the scene has flourished since then but i'm really lost , i just want a way to play the video games that i couldn't play, my firmware is at 4.5.0-10E, my flashcard is R4-SDHC Dual-Core.
i tried to search for myself but i got really overwhelmed
Help

Go into settings and look next to ur version number. If it says "sys" its sysnand if it says "Emu" its Emunand

it doesn't say either of them, guess that mean i am not using emuNAND nor a sysNAND

When combined with pre9otherapp, it's compatible with 4.5.0. Follow the guide.
i get ""an error has occured. forcing the software to close. the system will now restart'' when i try to launch soundhax, any tips plz?
this is my SD card root

Allternatively, you can use the MSET method instead of using Soundhax. It might be something you're already used to using anyway.

Edit: If need be, you could also use the browser method.

What if he updates his system version and then goes with the ntrboot method if the dual-core version is supported?

There's no reason to update before using the ntrboot method. It would only serve to prevent him from using other (easier) exploits.

Ok. I myself like using the ntrboot, since it looks quite simple and safe to me
