Must be FAT32 with 32kb clusters. You'll need a 3rd party program like guiformat for SD cards larger than 32GB on Windows.

so you cant add say a 256 gig sd card and utilize the space for games? only a 32

No, it will be 256GB and it will be formatted as FAT32. Just because FAT32 has 32 in its name doesn't mean it's limited to 32GB

Try updating them with freeShop

if i'm not mistaken, games will update to fail if they are obtained through freeshop and they are the wrong region for the 3DS

Do you have the latest version of lumaupdater? Though from the looks of your Luma version, I think not...

I am following the 3ds hack guide. I got almost to the end but need a file to continue. This file 2.54-0_11.4_new. The torrent link does not work, I tried multiple torrent programs, but its not downloading the files and does not give.. Hope someone has an alternative link for me to download this files for my new 3ds xl?

As you may know, certain games use download play for wireless local play, mostly a bunch of old-ish Mario titles, like New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart 7 and a few Mario Party titles. And as you may also know download play is region locked, and there's my problem, both my sister and I have N3DSs running Luma, but mine is American and hers is European, so we can't play any of these games together. Would the Luma locale emulator work to circumvent the region lock? If so, how would I go about setting it up? And if not, is there any other way to get around the download play region lock?

If any of the files are executable, script, or something like that, then there is a slim chance. I would upload those to VirusTotal, because there shouldn't be any unless you have a ROM trimmer or some PC utility.

I have an old 3ds xl that had a gateway with the alh9 stuff installed on it. I want to uninstall all that and just use luma 3ds. I went into the gateway menu and downgraded my firmware, but now anytime I boot my 3ds with the SD card installed, it just gives me a black screen. If I remove my sd card, I boot into (i guess) Sysnand. I tried copying stuff onto my card to install luma3ds, but I still get a black screen when I insert my sd card. Can anyone help me troubleshoot what is wrong?

Question: I installed some CIA files and they work fine, but one of the games is the wrong version(language missing), I want to delete this game. How can I do this safely? Just like a normal 3ds game in the settings or is there an other way?

A bit overboard, but you can search for all of those extensions I guess.
