First off none of this is my work. I just combined it all together.

I found a Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Fan Remake by xfixium). I got it to work on my switch which I figured I'd share with everyone. This is for all the zelda fans. Again credit goes to those that made it all, In just made it an easy install.

The Easy RPG has the 2003 Run Time Package included. It's too large for me to upload here. Sorry I had to split it into smaller files to upload.

Button mapping
Use the digital pad for walking.

  • A: Confirm
  • B, X and Plus: Cancel
  • Y: Shift
  • Minus: Reset game
  • L: Toggle FPS display
  • R: Fast forward
A touch ui is available in the corners for using the extra numpad buttons like 0-9 and Plus. These are used by some games (e.g. Yume Nikki).

ZL toggles between 3 display modes:

  1. 4:3 with touch ui visible
  2. 4:3 without touch ui
  3. 16:9 stretched without touch ui
The touch works independend of the touch mode. When you are afraid of screen burn-in use mode 2 or 3.

Never played this remake, have the original, so I took a peek on the w0bs.

Actually looks like a pretty decent job. Might have to check this out, Switch or not. :) Thanks for the heads up and the effort wrapping this all together!

Yeah I haven't played it yet myself but it is on my list to play soon. I thought it looked really great too.

This Minus button resetting the game is driving me nuts !
Is there any way to change the controls ?!

Great Remake (1st dungeon so far) with few add like :
- rage jauge
- medaillon
- improve graphics ...

Same thing happens to me a lot. Unfortunately I don't the programming skills to change the controls... If there is anyone that you know might by all means.

I search about a cfg file or any text file in it and still can't find a "input" word... I think it's in the NRO :/

Forgive the potato, but how exactly do you get this running on the Switch? I downloaded the rars but don't see a Switch type executable file.

You have to use the EasyRPG NRO and load the game from there.

I'm not sure of the inputs can be changed on the Easy RPG side to assign certain keys to buttons. It may be something they have to implement on their side.

Oh I see now, so basically you are opening a project within a contained homebrew.

This entire game is built around copyrighted assets ripped from official Nintendo games. EasyRPG is fine by itself though.

this is tolerated of course, although if we get a complaint from Ninty we'll have to ask OP to remove the files :)

Actually, no it is not. This game *has* been DMCA'd by Nintendo from what I recall, and it's no longer under development for that reason. Aside from that, he bundled the RTP into this which is not permitted by the RTP's license. This is clearly infringement and should be removed.

EDIT: To be clear, redistribution of the RTP is permitted only for use to run a game requiring the RTP and which uses RPG Maker <insert version here>. EasyRPG is clearly not RPG Maker, so it can't be distributed with EasyRPG.

I dont mean to bash the game, its a great work. But my first though (after growing up with the DX Link's Awakening) those screen transitions are a killer for me.

Sorry, should I have put "IANL" there? I'm pretty well versed with licensing, but I'm no lawyer. :P

Anyways, you're the admin here. Sorry if I overstepped my bounds, that wasn't my intention at all.

Is that the remake the full game?

I downloaded the easyrpg player in the hb store. Is that the same there or do I need to replace the one on my SD with this pack?
